Demi Lovato has quite fittingly become a shining example of resiliency in the face of hardship and heartbreak. After the 28-year-old broke up with her ex-fiance Max Ehrich, she not only published a song expressing her heartbreak (titled “Still Have Me”) but has essentially decided that her opinion and political views, no matter how controversial, are going to be heard.
This naturally garnered a mixed reaction from fans, especially when they landed on the opposite spectrum in terms of their chosen Presidential candidate. (Demi is fully a democrat btw)
While it isn’t uncommon to use one’s social media platform to promote a political agenda or message (especially in light of the BLM posts that were shared probably millions of times over the last few months) it is almost unheard of to see one of the most popular pop stars in the world suddenly advocate meditating to communicate with extraterrestrial beings that, according to Demi, are flying in anti-gravitational spaceships.
Words really don’t do this post justice. Not only does it bring into question whether Dem is actually recovering after her tremendous heartbreak, but it also presents the question of whether she’s really thought these posts through.
‘Peace & Serenity’
Here is an excerpt from Demi’s post. Fair warning, you may not look at Demi the same way ever again after reading it.
“The past few days I’ve spent in Joshua Tree with a small group of loved ones and @dr.steven.greer and his CE5 team. Over the past couple months I have dug deep into the science of consciousness and experienced not only peace and serenity like I’ve never known but I also have witnessed the most incredibly profound sightings both in the sky as well as feet away from me.”
Meditating With Aliens?
She didn’t stop there! Not only did Demi express her passion and “serenity” in what appears to be her new religion, but she continues the post by saying that she has seen alien space-craft in the sky and has actually communicated with them through “meditation.”
“This is just some of the evidence from under the stars in the desert sky that can no longer be ignored and must be shared immediately ??☄️ to make contact yourself you can download the CE5 app and it will teach you the protocols to connect to life form beyond our planet!! (Ps, if it doesn’t happen on the first try – keep trying – it took me several sessions to tap into a deep enough level of meditation to make contact!) Happy communicating ???”
Fans Say She’s ‘Trippin’
Needless to say, the response from fans was less than positive.
“Girl, you trippin ?” (Commentator)
“Oh damn I thought you did ? or something” (Commentator)
“That’s a satellite. ?” (Commentator)
“lemme know if u see et” (Commentator)
“bb what are you doing I love you” (Commentator)
“Demi are you in a cult??” (Commentator)
Her post about what she is basically claiming to aliens did in fact receive quite a bit of love from fans. There were many comments with people who complimented her as one of their favorite music artists, though these aren’t the best examples of true fan interactions simply because most assume she is trying to deal with emotional distress by posting this.
