Britney Spears Stuns Bare-Bellied In L.A. Backyard With Flowers In Her Hair

By Rebecca Cukier

Britney Spears and her backyard peasant blouse are back and stronger than ever. The 38-year-old pop princess hasn't given up on the shirt she's admitted to wearing "17 times," with her Wednesday Instagram update showing a familiar set of images – and fans have been warned to expect more of them. Britney, followed by 26.5 million, updated her Instagram today with three photos from her L.A. backyard. All showed the "Toxic" singer rocking her rose flower crown and knocking the camera dead. Check it out below.

It's All About The Roses

Scroll for the photos that, sadly, quickly sparked concern as #FreeBritney accuses the singer's Instagram of being controlled. Britney, who last month explained that her repetitive photos are part of photography project "Project Rose," was back amid the familiar lawns and trees, seen smiling and wearing six pink roses – from her "mini rose garden" – in her hair.

Britney, whose killer body defined a generation with now 20-year-old "...Baby One More Time," had hers on show via a blue-and-white-striped peasant blouse – more of a crop top.

All Smiles Amid Ugly Legal Battles

Keep scrolling for more photos. Britney, flashing her pearly whites, simply offered four rose emoji for her caption. The post, seeing all three images with different filters applied, come as the Grammy winner continues to put on a brave face amid her 2008-commenced conservatorship. Sixty-eight-year-old dad Jamie Spears controls his daughter's finances and many other aspects of her life – he caused fury this summer by calling the #FreeBritney movement both a "joke" and a "conspiracy theory."

Fans Worry, But Congratulate Her Tiny Legal Win

Fans, who dragged Britney out over needing a "hair intervention" with her recent private jet video, have been grumbling about the same photos being shared over and over. "Is that the same picture I've seen 65336 times?" one user wrote, although others were quick to congratulate Spears on a recent win, legally.

Britney is fresh from seeing a petition granted to expand her legal team, now seemingly granted. Dad Jamie had filed arguing the petition would cost too much money – his daughter already spent $1 million on legal fees last year. For a conservatorship she does not agree to.

'Project Rose' Explained

Britney has been in the news for clapping back at fans alleging that her images are recycled. In July, the singer called herself "authentic," with September bringing a rare video response.

"A lot of people have been saying that a lot of my posts are not new but they're old. But just to let you guys know, none of my pictures or posts are more than a month old," Britney told fans, adding:

"Yes, I know. I did wear the same top 17 times, but it's for a project - Project Rose. And you will be seeing way more of Project Rose in the future."
