Since Tyra Banks took over for Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews as the one and only new host on "Dancing With The Stars," her performance and inclusion in the program has been marred in controversy.

After a major mishap involving confusing which candidates were safe and which weren't in a recent episode, even more individuals called for her to be removed from the show. Now, judge Carrie Ann Inaba is taking a stand in support of Banks despite her critics.

She Misses Tom And Erin

Although Inaba maintained that she shows unwavering support for Banks in this new role, she did admit that she misses having Bergeron and Andrews on set.

"I miss Tom and Erin … because we’re like family. I don’t get to see them every week. But I do think Tyra’s brought an amazing energy. I mean, it’s been controversial, yes — let’s just say it — it has been," she told US Weekly in a candid interview after the show's most recent episode.

Why Tyra Is Different

"But what I think is that she has an excitement to her that is sort of hard to put words to. That’s what makes people want to tune in. She’s so passionate about what she does, and I’m loving that she’s bringing this fashion game to the show," Inaba went on to gush about the diverse new take on the hit reality show that Banks is providing through her hosting.

Back in July, ABC initially broke the news that Bergeron and Andrews would not be returning for the next season of "Dancing With The Stars,” only to announce that Banks was the replacement the day after.

Complimenting Her Efforts

Furthering her sentiments in support of Banks, Inaba said, "It is not easy for any of us, and I think that she’s stepped in and she’s filled the shoes, and she’s done an amazing job and taken it in her own direction."

The reality judge said she can relate to Banks' feelings having to step in to an established television role amidst controversy, something she too had to do with her previous role on "The Talk" after former host Julie Chen who left the show amidst mounting allegations against her husband, Les Moonves.

Doubling Down

"That’s probably why I have so much compassion for what Tyra’s going through because I joined 'The Talk' during a very tumultuous time," she told the publication of why she maintains the level of support that she has for Banks.

"She was so gracious in the way that she allowed me to step into her shoes and she said, 'I would love to see you there my Asian sister.' Even at the beginning of the season at 'The Talk,' Julie sent me roses as a good luck and best wishes and I love her so much because she’s just an amazing woman. And listen, this business is what it is. It’s fickle and we all know it. All of us that are in this, we all know our time is limited wherever we are, so we may as well just have fun where we’re at and do the best that you can and support each other. So I support Tyra 100 percent," she cemented her support by saying.
