Rapper Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent were supposed to headline the Once Upon a Time festival on Saturday. However, they never got a chance to take the stage.
As The Blast previously reported, Drakeo the Ruler was killed backstage at the Exposition Park in Los Angeles. According to officials, a fight broke out backstage at around 8:30 PM. It was not clear if Drakeo was involved in the fight, but he was stabbed during the altercation.
There are rumors that Drakeo the Ruler was stabbed in the neck, but those reports have not been confirmed at this time. Multiple sources indicate that, although the Los Angeles Police Department arrived on the scene to rush Drakeo to the hospital, he passed away from his injuries.
Authorities have not arrested anyone in connection to the fight, but the incident is still under police investigation. They plan to interview all artists who performed at the all-day festival, as well as their entourages, to see who else might have been backstage during the stabbing.
