‘RHOC’ is facing major backlash from it’s most die-hard fans after a controversy surrounding Kelly Dodd’s decision to wear at ‘Drunk Wives Matter’ hat — and now it appears may are refusing to watch the upcoming season because she will be included in the episodes.
The ‘Real Housewives Of Orange County’ star actually shared a statement which appears to be from one of the major fans sites of the show, which claims they will not be watching or ‘reporting’ on ‘RHOC’ because they “cannot support a show that supports someone who supports white supremacy.”
Kelly Dodd says that is ridiculous, untrue, and claps back at the peopl she calls, “whack jobs.”
I have decided to take a stand alongside Bravoingtogether, Bravohistorian, & many other Bravoholics. For the first time in over 10 years, I will not be watching or reporting on the upcoming season of #RHOC because of the vile Kelly Dodd,” the message Kelly shared begins.
It continues, “She is a disgrace and I am honestly appalled that Bravo has decided to keep her on their network. I cannot support a show that supports someone who supports white supremacy. The final straw was her wedding shower gift that said Drunk Lives Matter. No Kelly, Black Lives Matter.”
See Kelly’s Reaction!
“These are the whack jobs after me !! I am a Mexican and my husband to be (Rick Leventhal) is a Jew!! It says “WIVES”? #dumbass,” she responded.
Rick jumped into the comments saying to his fiancee, “I love you.”
As we reported, Kelly sparked a huge controversy over the weekend after she was snapped wearing a ‘Drunk Wives Matter’ trucker style hat — she claims was a gift at her bridal shower.
Kelly has since issued a statement which attempts to explain the situation and tell her followers she, of course, supports ‘black lives and racial equality.’
The situation has sparked a HUGE debate on social media over her decision and reaction. See Below…
“I will also not be watching this season and its sad cause OC was my favorite until Kelly came on,” one fan posted.
Another added, “What does your fiancé being Jewish have to do with anything? I’m lost. You are tone-deaf. I try to give chances but every single time you miss the mark.”
Not everyone agreed with the backlash against Dodd and lit up the comments on her IG post. “You’re my fav on RHOC! Screw the haters!! The new norm nowadays is to attack anyone with different views/opinions than them, it’s sickening! I wish people would lighten up!” one person wrote.
We are guessing we haven’t heard the last of this one.
