Selma Blair is having the last laugh – unusual when notorious paparazzi like Backgrid are chasing celebrities around L.A. The 48-year-old actress was this weekend photographed with a walking cane during an errands run – Selma, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018, chose a different set of snaps for her Sunday Instagram update, though. All the better, since they both showed the “Cruel Intentions” actress’ killer legs, her cute early-fall wardrobe, plus a reminder that celebrities think the paparazzi are “sneaky petes.” Check it out below.
Scroll for the photos. Selma, whose Instagram honestly and rawly chronicles her physical and mental battles – more the latter as the star makes progress and went horseback riding this year – had been photographed out and about.
Selma was on L.A. streets and looking gorgeous as she rocked lightly-frayed Daisy Dukes, plus a purple floral-print shirt. Red flats and a matching face mask, plus shades completed the look, with Blair also sporting her trademark pixie. The first photo seemed to see Selma saying”C’MON!” as she was snapped. The second sent out a giant wave.

Selma then took to her caption. “I was having a very pleasant evening indoors organizing my makeup drawers, reminding myself to wear more sunscreen,” she opened, with the caption pretty much going down the skincare and SPF route – she was never a “devout SPF girl” – then getting interesting.
“Anyway, I got a google alert ( of me. Who else? Really),” Selma added, admitting that it made her “laugh out loud. It was an impulse. Show enthusiasm for seeing a familiar face! Even if it behind a camera,” she continued. More below.
Selma, ending with a massively positive spirit, gratitude, and a mention of her Buuski shirt, concluded with mention of her face covering and The Daily Mail, where Backgrid photos fill the media oulet’s gossip columns.
“With a smile behind that mask! ? sending one second of fun to you all and thanks for all the love. ?. #backgridusa #dailymail. Hi you sneaky petes! ???”
Selma’s upbeat vibe isn’t a guarantee, though. Feeling “heavy” marked a moving mother-and-son update posted under a week ago, alhtough the latest wet pool shot was touting “better days.”
Selma, followed by 2.4 million on Instagram and gearing up for the October 23 of new movie “After We Collided,” has been receiving all the love in the world today.
“So freaking cute. I need more of you in my life. Love the enthusiasm. Such a pretty, happy girl ?⭐️?,” one fan wrote.
Selma’s Instagram very much documents a woman living with a disability rather than a woman who is one. That said, in February of this year, Selma talked night spasms and being “even more sideways now” as the neurological condition continues its grip on her.
