Kelly Clarkson appears to be subliminally responding to the million-dollar lawsuit accusing her of refusing to pay her managers commissions owed from “The Voice” and her talk show.
Last night, the singer tweet out a photo of Laurence Fishburne as Morpheus in the Matrix film. The GIF essentially is saying “bring it on.” The message comes hours after Kelly was hit with a mega lawsuit by her estranged husband Brandon Blackstock’s father.
The lawsuit was filed by Starstruck Management Group, which is run by Brandon’s father Narvel Blackstock.

As The Blast first reported, Starstruck Management Group is suing Kelly Clarkson over alleged unpaid commissions. The plaintiffs accuse the defendants of breach of an oral agreement.
In 2007, the company says they agreed to manage Kelly’s career. Starstuck claims to have helped Kelly achieve success with her numerous hit albums, multiple Grammy wins, and nominations, along with her role on The Voice and her own talk show.
Starstuck says despite their hard work Kelly decided to stop paying them money owed. They claim they are trying to recover its commissions on millions of dollars that Kelly already earned, but also the millions of dollars that she continues to earn, which “are owed to Starstuck for its prior hard work and dedication to Clarkson’s career.”
Starstruck says everything was going fine until 2020. They claim Kelly was to pay them a total of $3,358,984.15 in estimated commissions but only paid $1.4 million. Starstuck says Kelly will owe them around $5.4 million by the end of 2020. They believe she hasn’t paid them money owed from her talk show and “The Voice.”
Starstruck Management is suing for the millions owed plus unspecified damages. Kelly has yet to officially respond to the lawsuit in court but her tweet seems to imply she’s ready for a fight.
The lawsuit comes months after Kelly filed for divorce from Brandon. Kelly filed for divorce on June 4. She is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their kids. Sources close to the couple were shocked by the announcement. The two got hitched in 2013 and share two children together, 5-year-old daughter River Ross and 4-year-old son Remington Alexander.
In the docs, Kelly also requested neither party be paid spousal support. She also wants their prenuptial agreement enforced in the divorce. Sources close to the couple tell The Blast the divorce is amicable.
Brandon responded to the petition agreeing with joint custody and no support paid to either party.
Back in December, the talk show host listed the couple’s 7-bedroom, 11-bathroom, 20,121 sq. ft. Tennessee mansion for $7.5 million. The property has sat on the market for months without any bites. Kelly purchased the home for $2.86 million in 2012.
Recently, Kelly listed her 8-bedroom, 11-bathroom, 9,839 sq. ft. mansion in Encino on the market for $9,995,000. She originally bought the pad for $8.5 million in 2018
The home listing describes the property as having, “soaring wood-beamed ceilings and a harmonious indoor/outdoor flow.” The pad comes with a gourmet kitchen, “romantic high-pitched ceilings, a fireplace, private patio, lounge area, and an immense walk-in closet, the master suite is like no other.”
The divorce is ongoing,
