Jessica Simpson is starting her week off with the right energy by striking a warrior pose while harnessing the energy of a setting sun. The singer and fashion mogul took to Instagram on Monday evening and shared a photo of herself getting into the right mindset while flaunting her amazing figure. Simpson has been in the headlines over the past year due to her journey of losing over one hundred pounds following the birth of her third child, Birdie Mae.
Heading into her own backyard from her picturesque home in Hidden Hills, a posh suburb in Los Angeles, the fashion mogul showed herself poolside while performing a well-known yoga pose.
“Starting the week with a warrior mindset aligned with the beauty of the sunset,” Simpson wrote to her 5.5 million fans.
The recently turned 40-year-old star showed a stunning figure while wearing animal-print yoga pants and a black athletic halter top.
Simpson not only incorporates yoga in her own life, but she has turned it into a lucrative business by selling activewear through her signature clothing line.
Jessica Simpson’s weight loss journey didn’t come without a lot of hard work. Her celebrity trainer, Harley Pasternak, recently spoke with Good Morning America and shared some of the secrets that Simpson used to hit her 100-lb goal.
12,000 steps per day: Pasternak said Simpson would get her steps in by going on family walks and chasing around her kiddos.
7 hours of sleep per night: Sleep was a big part of Simpson’s health routine to make sure that she had enough energy for her daily workouts and lifestyle.
Pasternak told GMA that Simpson’s weight loss routine was a balance of making sure the mind was getting healthy at the same time as the body.
Her keys to success were continued:
1 hour away daily from technology: Pasternak explains that our brains can be “overwhelmed” with so much technology and Jessica Simpson found peace of mind by unplugging on a daily basis.
3 meals, 2 snacks per day: Pasternak said a healthy diet of balanced fats and proteins was a key to Simpson’s success.
Circuit workouts for exercise: Jessica Simpson shed the pounds by performing various circuits that targeted different parts of her body.
Another big part of Jessica Simpson’s weight loss journey was getting on the path of sobriety. In a recent interview with TODAY, the star talked about getting on the wagon and the affect it had on her relationship with her family.
“I’ll have three years sober on Halloween,” Simpson told TODAY Parents on Wednesday.
She added, “What’s crazy is that throughout quarantine I haven’t wanted to drink. I know it’s shocking, but I’m determined.”
Simpson recently explained in her memoir, Open Book, that on Halloween 2017, she was too drunk to get her children dressed for trick-or-treating.
“I was terrified of letting them see me in that shape,“ she wrote, adding, “I am ashamed to say that I don’t know who got them into their costumes that night.”
She’s come a long way since then and is sharing her story in hopes of helping others.
