Britney Spears may be a big Hollywood star now, but she’s still a girl from The South and can’t hide her excitement when it’s time for a BBQ! The Princess of Pop took to Instagram on Monday afternoon as she reminisced about the end of summer, which included a gathering at her house with boyfriend Sam Asghari. Britney shared the throwback pictures with her millions of loyal fans and also admitted that she wisely took the photos BEFORE digging into the food.
As with many of Britney’s posts over the past many months, the star recycled some of her shots from earlier in the year. This time, however, the “Womanizer” star was upfront and honest about why she chose to repost her looks, in the hopes of quelling down the online trolls from throwing shade.
“Some throwback shots from this summer at my house ?☀️? ✨ !!!! The middle picture is different because I don’t normally post pics of myself fixing my hair,” Britney captioned her series of posts.
In one shot, Britney is seen wearing the same peasant top she’s worn many times over the summer, and even clapped back at the online comedian, The Fat Jewish, after he trolled her for the repetitive fashion faux pa.
Britney also shared a video of herself wearing low-waisted shorts that she pulled down to reveal her midriff, along with a top that showed off the pop star’s ample cleavage.
“This is from before a barbecue at my house with my boyfriend,” she wrote alongside the bubbly video.
Britney Spears loves food and is not afraid to talk about it with fans. Last week, the star gave a shoutout to singer Halsey over a collaboration she did with the Magnum ice cream bar company.
Britney shared the culinary delight with her followers, and commented, “This is the best thing I’ve seen in a while …. looks so good,” she wrote while tagging Halsey.
The wild-looking frozen treat featured dark chocolate drizzles, black sesame seeds, candy flowers, pink jellies & Magnum Ruby ice cream.
Britney Spears has taken a lot of criticism recently over her social media posts, especially for the recycling of images. After fielding hate from online trolls, the singer took to her Instagram Stories in a rare appearance to try and clear up the air.
“A lot of people have been saying that a lot of my posts are not new they’re old, Britney began her message.
She continued, “To let you guys know none of my pictures or posts are more than a month old. Yes, I did wear the same top 17 times, but it’s for a project. Project Rose.”
Unfortunately, the message was not well-received by fans, who felt that Britney was making the message under duress.
