Megan Thee Stallion is seemingly having the last laugh right now. The 25-year-old rapper, earning her nickname from her 5’10” height, has just announced that clothing for tall ladies will now come courtesy of her. Megan, still in the news as her shooting drama with Canadian rapper Tory Lanez continues, kept the July 12 incident kinda outta this one – the post did, however, open with a massive empowerment note and possible shade towards the man she’s accusing of having shot her in the feet. Check it out below.
Scroll for the photos. They showed the “WAP” rapper in denim-on-denim – appropriate, given that the Texas-born star was announcing a jeans collab with clothing empire Fashion Nova. The affordable clothing label is, of course, also fronted big-time by 27-year-old rapper and fellow “WAP” face Cardi B. The “Press” rapper made headlines in 2018 for having her first collab with Fashion Nova sell out in “minutes.” The next one sold $1 million on its first day.
Megan’ post, also seeing her rock a corset-style t-shirt blending the two styles, wore ripped jeans, with her enviable frame making a stand.
Megan, addressing her 15.6 million Instagram followers, opened: “Nothing REAL can be threatened ?.”
No clarification on whether or not she was throwing shade at Lanez, arrested for a concealed gun charge the night Megan was shot in Hollywood Hills.
“Oh yeah and remember when I said I was collaborating with @fashionnova to make jeans for tall women ? These are the first samples ??? coming soon ?,” the rapper continued.
Megan is already fronting a major brand. She led the way for Rihanna’s SavagexFenty lingerie label as the brand’s Summer 2020 face.
At least, it was in the comments section.
“PERIOD! Emphasis on the TALL, a concept some folks just don’t understand ?,” one fan wrote.
“NOW HE LOVE TALL WOMEN?” another added.
Unsurprisingly, though, comments largely centered around the “Savage” rapper’s beef with Lanez. He claims that Megan has been trying to “frame” him, per his new album lyrics, with Megan herself making headlines for going on Instagram Live and accusing Tory of shooting her. In his September 25-released album, Lanez denies shooting Stallion.
Megan is getting big-time backed by fans. They’ve already been signing on the dotted line as a petition calling for Tory’s deportation back to Canada circulated.
Leading the way with over 6,000 likes was a comment showering the hard-hitting rapper with love.
“Hey Megan, girl you have done it again. Constantly raising the bar for us all and doing it flawlessly. I’d say im surprised but I know who you are. I’ve seen it up close and personal. Girl you make me so proud, and i love you.”
