Lisa Rinna is expanding her empire beyond reality TV and not everyone is on board. The 57-year-old “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star announced she was releasing a brand of beauty products on Thursday, September 24. Of course, one of the first items set to be released is lipstick. The former “Melrose Place” actress has always grabbed attention with her oversized lips and has decided to capitalize on the recognition.
Taking to her social media to uncover the big news, Lisa Rinna didn’t quite get the reaction she was hoping for.
The Bravo personality dropped a fierce shot showcasing her made-up face using her products. Sporting a dark smoky eye with a sharp eyebrow and highlighting her cheekbone structure, Lisa Rinna looked like a boss woman in her nude and shiny lipgloss.
Wearing an oversized black hat, she captioned the beauty snap, “BREAKING NEWS! ??? RINNA BEAUTY Rinnabeauty.com ? It’s finally here! ?” while tagging her line’s Instagram page. Followers immediately flooded her announcement with comments and some even called for a boycott on her products.
Haters swarmed her comment section, begging others to join them in canceling Rinna. “@lisarinna boycott all her products. Do not support bullying. Please help us out,” one angry follower wrote. “All the makeup won’t make your soul pretty,” another person commented.
“Girl, nobody wants the Rinna look, your entire face looks like you are having an allergic reaction and you slathered it sparkle and colored it with every single crayon in the big box. It’s just yikes,” a third troll unleashed.
“RHOBH” fans are angry at Lisa Rinna for how she treated Denise Richards during season 10. Many are going as far as to blame Rinna for Denise’s departure. As The Blast reported, Denise Richards will not be returning to the Bravo series after just two seasons on the show.
Followers decided to take jabs at Lisa Rinna’s beauty announcement over the duo’s feud. “Soon to be in the Dollar ?…. Shady Shadow, Lying Lips, False Eyelashes…” one person joked. “Ooof!!! You look so angry!!” added another, referring to Rinna’s comment to Denise.
“Rinna Beauty” is up and running but none of the products are ready to be viewed or purchased. Those who want to “be the first to know” can sign up through the site and will get notified when the products are available.
Calling her brand a “lifestyle,” Lisa Rinna informed her fans what they can expect once it launches. “I’m thrilled to share my Chic, Sexy, Bold lip liner, lipstick and lip gloss with you,” she posted ahead of the weekend.
