Kodak Black has been in prison for federal firearms charges since May 2019 where he was arrested at the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami.
At that moment, police saw he falsified information on gun applications. A shooting incident in his hometown of Pompano Beach, FL was also traced to guns owned by him.
In November, he was handed down a 46-month prison sentence in this case. He has since been denied an appeal for this sentence. Now, he is turning to Donald Trump for help.
Kodak Black Wants Donald Trump To Help Him Commute 46-Month Sentence
According to TMZ, the Florida rapper’s attorneys, Bradford Cohen and Jonathan Schwartz, sent in a petition to Trump asking for a commute in the sentence. His legal team is preparing to cite why Kodak should be out of prison as they claim that the average length for a sentence in this case is 18 months and not 46.

Kodak Is In A Maximum-Security Federal Prison In Kentucky

Cohen also noted that Kodak is in this type of prison in Kentucky due to the Bureau of Prisons “”erroneously”” viewing Kodak as having level four criminal history. The judge supposedly put Kodak at level two so this appeared to be another mistake.
