SUR Restaurant has finally reopened its doors to patrons following a months-long, government-enforced closure and now, fans are wondering if the “Vanderpump Rules” cast will begin filming their ninth season.
“SUR is reopening today. There will only be outdoor seating available and reservations required,” a source told Us Weekly magazine on September 23, adding that “Peter will be managing and [Lisa Vanderpump] and [Ken Todd] may make an appearance.”
SUR Restaurant was shut down in March to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Rest Of The ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Cast Will Return To Work Soon
While Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz were spotted at the West Hollywood hotspot on its opening night on Wednesday, the rest of the “Vanderpump Rules” cast, including Dayna Kathan, Charli Burnett, and Danica Dow, will “be brought back in to work in sections,”
As for whether Brett Caprioni is still working at the restaurant, the insider said there was no word on whether he’d be brought back to the venue after being fired from “Pump Rules” in June due to a number of racially charged tweets shared years ago.
Lisa Vanderpump’s Restaurants Have Outdoor Space
Weeks ago, Lisa revealed that while she had to be closed for some time, her restaurants were able to serve patrons outdoors.
“We’re lucky with the fact that when we do decide to open we have really good-sized patios, which is very unusual. Pump is, you know, 90 percent garden. TomTom has two big gardens; we’d be able to put the tables and chairs outside. It has a great big garden in the back, and we’d probably be able to go out on [the] pavement as well,” Lisa told Lala Kent and Randall Emmett on their podcast, “Give Them Lala … With Randall.”
TomTom Is Not Reopening Yet
“So, we’re very fortunate with that,” she continued. “But we’ve just been waiting for it to be safe. … When I keep seeing the numbers going up, I want every single person — do not let this be political — [to] wear a mask.”
As for the rest of the restaurants, the insider said there are “no plans as of now to reopen TomTom.”
Two weeks ago, Katie Maloney confirmed she had not yet heard anything in regard to the potential start of production on “Vanderpump Rules” season nine.
‘Vanderpump Rules’ Has Not Been Canceled
“They haven’t canceled it, so there’s hope still. At least there’s not, like, anything definitive in that regard,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I try to picture [the show without Stassi and Kristen] and think about it, and it’s so weird … It’s definitely gonna feel different and look different, but it’s not like they’re not a part of my life, you know? So, it’s gonna be weird to have this part of my life that was very much on the show not on the show anymore.”
