“I think it’s groovy.” Kelly Ripa wasn’t above giving her multicolor “Brady Bunch” dress top marks today – the 49-year-old was also in mighty-high spirits as she showed off a very 70s-style look ahead of the Tuesday “Live!” airing. The talk show queen, still in the news for holding down the fort while co-host Ryan Seacrest was sick, has appeared in a brand new #KellysFashionFinger video. “Live!” captures every aspect of Kelly and Ryan’s morning shows – just yesterday, Kadeem the coffee guy was giving Kelly two thumbs-up for her minidress.
Another day, another look. Check out the latest one below.
Scroll for the video. Kelly, who has been rocking high-end Gucci of late, had opted for another European designer. This time, the Belgian-based Essential Antwerp label. The former “All My Children” actress was filmed backstage and slipped into the geometric-print, pink, green, and olive number – Shopbop might have been mentioned, but the dress retails for a steep $322.
“Hi everybody,” Kelly said, continuing: “This is Essential from Shopbop. I think it’s groovy! Very Carol Brady,” as she shouted out iconic 1969-1974 sitcom “The Brady Bunch.”
Kelly, herself a television star back in the day, now sees fans eyeing her up for a “Brady Bunch” reboot, although it’s worth noting that responses were mixed – not everyone is a fan of Kelly rocking up to the set every day in luxury brands.
“Kelly should play Carol Brady in a Brady Bunch re-boot!” one fan wrote, proving more enthusiastic than the user replying:
“Has anyone looked at the prices? $475 pajama tops and $495 pajama pants. Earth to Kelly…”
Keep scrolling for the video. Kelly, whose “Live!” salary is reported to be in the range of $20 million a year, has definitely been proving that she’s got fine taste in fashion. Just this week, the blonde struggled to pronounce designer Zadig & Voltaire, although the Gianvito Rossi stiletto brand Kelly adores now rolls of her tongue.
Kelly also isn’t above admitting when the wardrobe gets tricky. September brought Kelly filmed from a 360-degree angle as she admitted that her snazzy black pants were “too tight” and that she struggled to put them on. More after the video.
Kelly and 45-year-old Ryan Seacrest started video-streaming their daily appearances back in March. The 180-day-long streak ended this month as the duo finally returned to set, with Kelly marking the return in true COVID style. Her Instagram photo showed a twinning hazmat suit deal with Ryan – both also wore latex gloves and World War II-style gas masks.
“It’s gonna be a minute, because we are used to shooting the show through a computer screen,” Kelly said as she admitted the return might be tricky. Then again, the prankster joked she wouldn’t return to “Live!” if she had to wear pants.
