Last weekend, Megan Thee Stallion had social media buzzing, after she graduated from Texas Southern University, in her hometown of Houston. The H-Town Hottie received her bachelor's degree in healthcare administration.

Fans of Megan commended her for deciding to keep pursuing her degree, even with all of the massive success she's experienced in the music industry. Now, Megan's graduating is getting former TSU students to want to finish school there, as well.

More TSU Students Are Returning To Campus

Dr. Monica Rasmus, program director for Texas Southern University's Health Administration program, spoke with TMZ and revealed that students had dropped out before. These same ones are now returning to campus, to finish their degrees. These efforts are all being made, due to seeing what Megan's accomplished.

Rasmus added that students originally started to re-enroll in their studies in 2020, when Megan revealed that she is almost done with her studies at TSU. She now plans to open an assisted living facility, in Houston. More undergrad and grad school students are also starting to pursue healthcare administration.

"Still not over the fact that I can finally say I’m a college graduate," said Megan on Instagram. "?? A HBCU COLLEGE GRADUATE ?Thank you to my friends and family for supporting me this whole time bc without y’all I would have lost my mind."

Megan Was Also Honored With Hero Award In Texas

In addition to Megan's huge graduation ceremony last weekend, she was also presented a huge award in Houston. This was the Hero Award, presented by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.

"Today I was given thee 18th Congressional District of Texas Hero Award by congresswoman @sheilajacksonlee In my hometown HOUSTON TX ??????although I appreciate the recognition I’m just happy that I am able to give back to and put smiles on the faces of the people in my city." ??

Megan Is Grammy-Nominated Again

This past spring, Megan scored her first ever Grammy wins. She took home three categories out of the four that she was nominated in. These were for Best New Artist, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance.

For 2022, Megan also has a chance to score another Grammy. She is nominated in the category of Best Rap Performance. This is for her smash hit single, "Thot S*it," which was released this past summer.

Megan Also Addressed Tory Lanez Shooting Case

On Wednesday, Megan also took to her Twitter feed, to discuss the ongoing Tory Lanez shooting case. A preliminary hearing was held on Tuesday, as Tory will be heading to trial on January 13. This comes after Megan accused him of shooting her in her feet, back in July 2020.

On Twitter, Megan made it known that she doesn't like the information that has been spread by media outlets. She emphasizes that the focus needs to be on that she was shot, and not some kind of "catfight," before the shooting. This comes after reports that she fought her ex-best friend, Kelsey Nicole, over Tory.
