Melania went on record saying, “I am proud to announce my new NFT endeavor, which embodies my passion for the arts, and will support my ongoing commitment to children through my Be Best initiative. Through this new technology-based platform, we will provide children computer science skills, including programming and software development, to thrive after they age out of the foster community.”

The NFT itself is a watercolor art piece by Marc-Antoine Coulon, and embodies the former First Lady’s cobalt blue eyes.

The digital artwork will cost approximately $150.00 and includes an audio recording from Melania with a message of hope.

“You can give to the children for the f***ing Christmas! – Melania Trump,” they tweeted.

“Melania Trump when she realized she’s not tasked with the tedious and stressful job of taking credit for the White House Christmas decorations this year,” wrote another.

This person pointed out the fact that only a portion of the proceeds are going to help foster kids, which is something they didn’t agree with.

“If Melania Trump really wanted to help aging out foster kids, the “billionaires” would give 100% of the proceeds instead of just a “portion.” This NFT “vision” is just another Trump charity grift. #BeWorst,” the tweet read.

Many others agreed this NFT venture is all a ‘grift.’

“Let’s see how many suckers will fall for this one. Melania Trump announces new grift selling cryptocurrency artwork that gives a 'portion' to needy kids,” someone tweeted.

A grift is defined as “a petty or small-scale swingle.”
