“Alaskan Bush People” star Bear Brown has been delivered a lot of devastation lately, but is finally getting some good news after finding out his son is on the way down from Alaska to meet for the first time since the baby was born. The Discovery reality star took to Instagram on Friday and revealed to fans that his newborn son, River, would be coming to the Brown family’s homestead in Washington after working out the details with his former partner.
Bear Brown shared a photo of baby mama, Raiven Adams, and his newborn son, River, along with an excited caption:
“Hey everybody I have some awesome news! Raiven is bringing little River up for a visit! It’ll be the first time I’ve gotten to see him in person, but we have been talking a lot over the phone! It’s gonna be so cool to be able to hold him!”
The “Alaskan Bush People” star has been looking forward to holding his son for some time and has been open with fans about the struggles he and Raiven have endured.
Things seem amicable between the two parents now, but months earlier the “Alaskan Bush People” star went on social media and ripped Raiven Adams for what he called “abusive” treatment.
“I have something to say! Everything that Raiven has told the news tabloids and has insinuated about me, is a mean abusive lie and I will no longer stand by and say nothing! Soon I will be making a post about the truth of what happened between us! Since Raiven has not stoped [sic] lying about me, people deserve to know the truth!” Bear exclaimed in a caption alongside a photo of himself back in July.
The outburst by Bear came on the heels of Raiven Adams taking legal action against the reality star by filing an order of protection from her home in Alaska.
According to Raiven’s handwritten declaration, first reported by The Blast, she claimed that in August 2019 she moved to Loomis, Washington to be with the “Alaskan Bush People” star:
“Shortly after dating Solomon I realized his behavior was abusive … While dating I would bring up his eratic [sic] behavior.”
Raiven claimed the behavior she witnessed included Bear yelling, slamming things and allegedly preventing her from leaving rooms.
She also claimed that Bear confided in her that his “behavior” was due to cocaine use, and that when she expressed “concerns” about his drug use, “he would threaten to kick me out.”
Bear had publicly denied the allegations of abuse and drug use and the legal case was later dropped.
Bear Brown and Raiven Adams had a tumultuous relationship after getting together, breaking up, hooking back up and splitting again before revealing they were expecting a baby together. However, through all the drama, they have maintained that they will co-parent in the best interest of the baby.
“Quickly after deciding friendship was best for us! We found out we had a little surprise coming our way,” Raiven explained last year in an announcement on social media.
She added, “After a quick engagement because we felt that was the right thing to do. We talked about things, and ultimately decided being co parents was best for us as well as our baby. We are super excited, and surprised to announce this especially due to current events. We are excited to coparent as friends, and do our best to be the best we can be.”
