Kelly Ripa once again was tasked with holding down her morning show solo once again after co-host Ryan Seacrest stayed home another day after falling under the weather. Ripa has been working hard this week while pulling double duty, but has been flawlessly executing the rundown for “LIVE with Ryan and Kelly” and looking good while doing it. Friday’s show saw Ripa showing off a new look for the TV star as she greeted millions of viewers without a live studio audience.
48-year-old Ripa demanded attention while taking the stage following an introduction from her crew, who was all masked up and protected due to COVID-19 protocol.
During a break, Ripa showed off her outfit of the day, which included a long, floral Gucci Skirt, Marni top, and Gianvito Rossi heels. The star admitted she has Gucci skirts that are decades old, because, “They neve go out of style.”
Fans were loving her look and praised Ripa in the comments of the show’s Instagram page.
“Kelly Ripa continues to become more Beautifull everyday!” one fan wrote.
Friday’s show wrapped up a strong week for “LIVE with Kelly and Ryan” as Ripa welcomed comedian and TV star, Caroline Rhea, to the show.
Ripa and Rhea made sure to stay socially distant during the in-studio interview, and fans seemed to love the banter between the two longtime friends.
“This was one of the best segments you’ve had in a long time. Caroline is awesome. The show would be more interesting if she replaced Ryan full time,” one fan dared to suggest in the comments after the interview.
Friday marks the second day Ryan Seacrest called in sick to co-host “LIVE with Kelly and Ryan,” after the show revealed he had symptoms of a sore throat earlier in the week.
Fans were stunned when they were delivered the announcement about Seacrest’s health via social media.
“Ryan is home with a sore throat. We’re all being very cautious these days,” the IG account for “LIVE With Kelly and Ryan” stated.
It was not revealed whether Seacrest was going to take Friday and rest through the weekend, but his absence on the show makes it pretty clear he’s taking it easy and hoping to recovery by Monday.
In Seacrest’s absence, Kelly Ripa has been handling all the segments by herself and doing a fantastic job. Earlier in the week she did an interview with former “Real Housewives of New York” star Bethenny Frankel about Frankel’s new podcast, and also pressed Bravo exec Andy Cohen about rumors of “Jersey Shore” star Snooki, and Kris Jenner, joining the “Real Housewives” franchise.
Ripa also got hands-on during a segment with celebrity chef and meat guru, Pat LaFrieda, where she went through “Beef 101.”
