Aside from the ongoing backlash, the Hollywood sensation's new woman has shown zero tolerance for the "Justice League" star's actions.

On Monday, December 13, the DC actor got candid about his alcohol addiction, which allegedly began during his marriage to the "Peppermint" actress.

Affleck told Stern that his ex-wife was the root of his problems as the 49-year-old began drinking to escape the prison that was their marriage. In his words:

"I was like, 'I can’t leave because of my kids, but I’m not happy, what do I do?' And what I did was drink a bottle of Scotch and fall asleep on the couch, which turned out not to be the solution."

This shocking revelation painted Garner as a villain who turned the father of her three children — Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel — into an unhappy drunk.

Regardless of the truth behind the actor's words, the majority believed his battles with sobriety weren't one person's fault. Fans flooded social media to express their displeasure with the Golden Globe winner.

Some reminded the entertainer that his ex-wife supported his recovery by driving him to rehab and staging interventions. In contrast, others pointed out that the "Gone Girl" star was solely responsible for his drinking problems.

Another person disappointed by Affleck's actions was J.Lo. A source revealed to the news outlet that the "Hustlers" actress was upset with the film director for dragging her into his mess. The insider said:

"[Lopez] is pissed. She is getting pulled into this because she is dating him. She doesn't want to be dragged into this. She has met Jennifer Garner. She is trying to get to know her and Ben's kids."
