It's official – Britney Spears is being called to the "WAP" table by Instagram. The 38-year-old pop princess, near-unable to make a cheerful headline amid her continued, 2008-commenced conservatorship, is finally seeing her social media followers briefly lighten up amid dark times. Britney, whose 68-year-old father continues to control her finances and many other aspects of her life, sparked plenty of concern with her skimpy backyard update today, but there was room for fans eyeing up the stunner's potential. Britney continued: "Ask yourself today … am I truly happy ??? What makes you happy ... coffee ☕️ early in the morning ??? Dancing for hours ??? Making lots of plans for the day then canceling ?‍♀️?‍♀️?‍♀️???"

The mom of two whose own self-care has manifested this summer via her beach yoga – more "acro yoga" was her 2020 resolution – then added she was seeking more ways to feel "confident" and give herself more "self-love." Britney closed by hoping her followers could also find ways to "find joy and happiness." Scroll for the comments that might lift hearts – or not.

Britney, whose Instagram has been deemed a setup by her followers as they accuse her of not being the one controlling the content, has largely sparked worry and repeated pleas for her to confirm she's okay – Britney maintains she is "authentic" and that posts aren't old, but her fans struggle to believe what they see. A comment voiced concern and threw out a request:

"What would make me truly happy, is your freedom and your happiness. And a feature from you on WAP. Is that so much to ask?! ?"

The user referencing the Billboard no.1 hit from rappers Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion was referencing one of the most provocative music videos to date. While some fans were keen for Britney to "WAP" it out – "That would be amazzzzing," one wrote, with another saying "the WAP thing yes" – others weren't so sure.

"Asking her for wap is counterproductive to her cause. She has been objectified since the dawn of time," a fan replied.

Spears was just 16 when schoolgirl sexy became the hottest thing around in "...Baby One More Time," then going on to become one of the biggest sex symbols in history.
