'The Voice' Star Kelly Clarkson Says 'I'll Never Marry Again' Following Nasty Divorce

Kelly Clarksonsays she will be 'single forever' following the nasty split with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.

'The Voice' star opened up about dating to 'Watch What Happens Live' host Andy Cohen, joking she has trouble seeing the "red flags" during bad dates. During a recent segment of 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' she said, "I’m always that person that’s like, ‘Oh, I don’t know. Maybe they were having an off day.'" -- describing how she gets into bad relationships.

As for Cohen, the Bravo boss admitted how he tends to "cut and run" after seeing similar red flags. "We should hang out so that rubs off on me," Kelly joked.

As we reported, the singer filed for divorce in June of 2020, after seven years of marriage, and the former couple has been fighting over their prenuptial agreement -- and custody of their children. A judge in the case legally declared Clarkson single, but negotiations of finance and custody are ongoing.

Interestingly, Cohen told Clarkson he enjoys having a few cocktails on a date -- trying to loosen up the situation. But, Clarkson doesn't go for it. "I don’t know. I might be more of a coffee person. I don’t know if I’m willing to invest in an evening with you yet," she responded.

Adding, "I’ll be single forever."

As for dating, she said, "Maybe in the future, you never know." But, was clear, "Well, I do know I won't get married again."

She continued, "But I just mean, you never know about love. It's one of those things where we're engineered -- especially from where I'm from -- to have that. And I don't have that need."

The good news, Clarkson recently opened up about her marriage on 'Love Someone with Delilah' podcast -- and said she has no "regrets" about past relationships. "I regret nothing. Even unfortunate things that happen in your life or hard things, ’cause we can do hard things," Kelly said. 

She continued, "But also I feel like that’s what shapes you, it’s what makes you a better person, it’s what makes you recognize: OK I missed those red flags, I missed that, I ignored that on purpose." It should be noted, Kelly nor Brandon have discussed the specific issues in their marriage, except fighting over property revealed that Blackstock is fighting to stay at the couple's Montana ranch full-time -- while Clarkson wants the children to stay with her in Los Angeles while she films her show.

"I mean… I’m just collecting them,” Clarkson joked about the red flags. Adding, "I was apparently wanting to do some kind of exhibit with a lot of them." The 'Voice' star even joked about naming her next album "red flag!"

In the divorce filings, Blackstock claims he is now a full-time rancher, following a career in the music industry where he managed Clarkson for a few years.

The divorce case is ongoing.
