Kanye West Sets Historic Spotify Streaming Record With His Albums

Kanye West has been proving for over the past 18 years, of why he's one of the greatest artists of all time. He continues to release consistent number one albums and posts epic streaming records.

Now, Ye has reached a new historic milestone, surrounding his Spotify streams.

According to Chart Data, Kanye is now the first artist in Spotify history, to have 10 studio albums all reach 1 billion streams. In his career, Ye has release 10 studio albums in total, and three colalb projects.

Ye's latest album release was "Donda," on August 29. The rollout for that album was unique, in that he had three listening events for it. Two were held in Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The final one took place at Soldier Field, in Kanye's hometown of Chicago.

Donda went on to contain 27 tracks, with appearances from Travis Scott, The Weeknd, Lil Baby, Jay Z, and more. It also saw a number one debut on the Billboard 200 chart. That marked Ye's 10th consecutive number one album.

Kanye has also been making some historic performances over the past week. On December 9, he performed at the LA Coliseum with Drake. This was for Ye's "Free Larry Hoover" benefit concert, which was announced in November.

The announcement of that concert came several weeks after Kanye and Drake finally ended their 3-year-old feud. Drake and Kanye shared a photo together in front of Drake's house, with legendary Houston music mogul J Prince. Inside the home, the party was on. Dave Chappelle was also there, as he celebrated the end of the feud.

At the LA Coliseum, Kanye performed several of his classic records, such as "Stronger," "Gold Digger," "Can't Tell Me Nothing," "All Of The Lights," and "Mercy." Fans were a bit confused as to why Drake didn't pull more classics from his own catalogue as well.

Kanye concluded the weekend, by performing at the Rolling Loud Festival. This was held in San Bernardino, as he was brought out to the stage by Future. Kanye performed his hits, and even freestyled Future's 2015 hit single "F*ck Up Some Commas."

Kanye has also been very vocal about wanting to stay married to Kim Kardashian. He's stated in several interviews that he hasn't seen the divorce papers that Kim filed, as he wants to fix their marriage.

In new documents filed by Kim though, she is remaining adamant about moving forward with the divorce. She has emphasized that marriage counseling or any other form of reconciliation will not be beneficial.

Kim has since been moving forward with her own dating life. She has since been seeing "Saturday Night Live" host, Pete Davidson. The two have beens spotted on several dates, which includes being seen holding hands in Palm Springs.
