Carmen Electra is dropping some fire into her Instagram feed on a Tuesday afternoon by reminiscing about a fun event from the past when she rolled around as a member of The Pussycat Dolls. Electra took to social media and shared the throwback from way back in 2004, when the star performed at the Argyle Hotel back in 2004 for the launch of Christian Dior’s newest collection at the time, D’Trick. Electra was a featured performer, alongside the Pussycat Dolls.
48-year-old Electra revealed her stunning look from the Christian Dior show, which showed her in a white bikini with a huge fuzzy pink boa draped around her neck. To top off the look, Electra accessorized with long strings of pearls hanging from her bikini, as well as a pair of fishnet leggings. Wearing dark-colored lipstick, as was the time circa ’04, Electra smiled and waved at the camera.
“Rockin Dior head to toe,” she wrote.
The performance was part of Electra’s rejoining the Pussycat Dolls after having been involved years before.
It’s not highly publicized, but Carmen Electra was actually one of the original members of the Pussycat Dolls back in 1993 when it was just a burlesque troupe founded by famed choreographer Robin Antin.
Antin later restructured the group with singer and dancer Nicole Scherzinger alongside Carmit Bachar, Melody Thornton, Jessica Sutta, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt.
The group then exploded into a pop-star phenomenon, but Electra was not part of the ultimate success in the music business. She later returned to perform as a member during many of the live shows.
Carmen Electra also rejoined the Pussycat Dolls briefly in 2011 when they performed a burlesque show at the Sundance Film Festival, and then later when they also made David Letterman’s head explode during a sexy appearance on his late-night talk show.
The former “Baywatch” star has always been available for Robin Antin when needed, and also helped open The Pussycat Dolls Burlesque Saloon years ago at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Electra performed a solo striptease at the event, and Antin later hailed it as, “one of the best star striptease performances I’ve ever seen.”
Carmen Electra’s lookback at the fun time with the Pussycat Dolls comes on the heels of the actress and model showing off a new look while lounging in her backyard. Electra racked up thousands of likes on Instagram over her latest look, which was created with the help of celebrity makeup artist, Preston Meneses. Wearing a vibrant-colored dress with pink and orange hues bordered by thick black lines, the star confidently looked into the camera while being backlit by the warm Southern California sun.
