Amber Heard took a hit in court recently when her upcoming defamation trial with Johnny Depp was delayed again, but the actress is trying to keep an upbeat attitude and beelined for what brings her real happiness. The “Aquaman” star took to Instagram on Monday afternoon to share a fresh photo with her fans and supporters following her return to the U.S. after a whirlwind vacation in Turkey. The 34-year-old star took off to the Middle East after wrapping up legal proceedings in the U.K. after appearing in court against Johnny Depp in a separate case.
It’s unclear where Amber Heard was when she took her pic on Monday afternoon, but she made it clear that it was not far from a delicious glass of vino.
“Barrel proximity = happiness,” Heard captioned her selfie beside a wine barrel.
The star kept it casual with a loose-fitting white blouse with black and red squares and accented her look with a thin silver chain that hung around her neck.
No doubt Heard’s 3.9 million fans would have showered the star with praise, but like her other photos, she limited comments from the public on social media.
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp are facing an upcoming jury trial in Fairfax County, Virginia, that was just pushed back due to issues with COVID-19. Depp had actually asked the date, which had already been pushed until 2021, to be pushed back even further because the scheduled dates conflicted with his upcoming production schedule for Fantastic Beasts 3, which will see Depp return to the J.K. Rowling franchise as Grindelwald.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star is set to be in London between October and next February.
Heard and her legal team had argued against holding off the trial, as they fear it will cause a conflict with her upcoming filming of “Aquaman II.”
“Defendant’s career has virtually halted, with the exception of Aquaman II – which she was told months ago would begin filming in February 2021,” a filing from Heard’s legal team and obtained by Deadline read.
The document added, “Warner Bros counsel said that they do not know when Aquaman II will begin filming, but it will be sometime in the spring of 2021, which is also a basis for denying the continuance.”
After the trial was delayed, Johnny Depp took to his Instagram to thank his millions of fans for their loyal support during the controversial time in the star’s life.
I just wanted to thank you all once again for your constant and loyal support throughout many long and interesting episodes of my life…
I am only here because of you — and I’m only here for you!!!
All thanks and love to you for all,
JD,” a note from Depp read alongside a video of him sitting at his office desk.
