On Tuesday, a preliminary hearing was held for Tory Lanez. This involved his case where he allegedly shot Megan Thee Stallion in Hollywood Hills, back in July 2020.
LAPD Det. Ryan Stogner made headlines, as he made statements which backed up Megan, and hinted at Tory being the one who pulled the trigger that night. The Toronto rapper allegedly told Megan"Dance bitch, dance!" when the shots were fired.
Megan Initially Told Police That Her Feet Were Cut From Glass
Tory allegedly went on to shoot Megan in the feet, as the initial reports stated that she cut her feet in glass. At Tuesday's hearing though, Stogner described how Megan felt after suffering bullet wounds.
"[Megan] immediately felt pain to her feet, observed blood, fell to the ground, and then crawled to an adjacent driveway of a residence."
Megan also initially told police that she was cut from glass, due to fear of Tory being shot by police. This was done, due to the current political climate of many officers being quick to shoot Black men.
Tory Speaks On Comments Made At Hearing
Tory is now taking to social media to address the reports of what came out of Tuesday's hearing. He asked that factual statements need to be reported to the media, as this is what his lawyer supposedly did. Tory believes that what was stated in court today came back as wrong information, to the internet.
"NAH … i need someone to REPORT what was REALLY said in court today, 45 minutes of my lawyer stating contradictory evidence that proves my innocence should never come back as one false story forced to the media."

Tory Intially Told Police That Megan Was His 'Girl
Tory's attorney (Shawn Holley) also added that at the time of the alleged shooting, Tory claimed that he was protecting Megan. He even claimed that Megan was his girlfriend. In the aftermath of the shooting, Tory allegedly told police “I was just trying to protect my girl."
According to Holley, an argument escalated in the car that Tory and Megan were in. This was due to another woman being in the car, who was said to be Meg's former assistant and friend. She was supposedly very interested in Tory as well, and soon became jealous of what Tory and Meg had going on. She even added that Megan ‘back-doored’ her," regarding Tory.
LAPD Officer Also Spoke On Megan
One witness who spoke at the preliminary hearing, was LAPD Officer Sandra Cabral. According to Cabral, she received a call about shots being fired. She also described the emotions that Megan was going through at the time as "a panic, frantic."
Regarding the firearm that Tory allegedly used against Megan, it was said to initially be under the passenger seat of the vehicle that they were all in. The firearm was reportedly ended up being "warm to the touch," which indicted that shots were let off from it.
