Zac Efron May Be Off the Market After Rumored Romance With 'Selling Sunset' Star

Zac Efron has kept a pretty low profile for most of the year.

However, as the year is coming to a close, Efron is sending the rumor mill spiraling with a possible new relationship.

The actor was spotted hanging out with HGTV’s Tarek El Moussa recently for Fight Night.

Tarek luckily captured the moment on Instagram, which is the main piece of evidence in this case.

On Monday, December 13, the home renovation star posted a photo of himself with Efron, “Selling Sunset’s” Amanza Smith and Mary Fitzgerald, Bruce Buffer, and his wife, Heather Rae Young.

Efron and Smith take center stage in the photo. Smith’s back is turned toward the actor, but he is leaning in and almost resting his head on hers.

It definitely makes them look super cuddly.

Of course, this immediately had people questioning the status of their relationship.

Are they friends? More than friends? Did they just meet?

Well for those unlucky in love, here is some good news.

Efron is still SINGLE and the two are NOT dating.

According to TMZ, Smith is in a relationship with a soccer star from overseas, and is head over heels in love.

Efron was previously dating Vanessa Valladares. They met in Australia and their relationship looked to be on the fast track to marriage, but they split earlier this year.

In July 2020, it was confirmed that the two were in a committed relationship, however, Efron and Vanessa’s relationship got rocky when he left Byron Bay for Adelaide to film the thriller “Gold.”

If you’re not familiar with Australian geography, Adelaide is about a 22-hour drive from Byron Bay, so it made things a temporary long-distance relationship for the two.

A source claimed the two secretly got engaged during a surprise birthday party she put on for him in October.

Sources claimed that Efron surprised Vanessa with a custom ring, saying QUOTE, “He gave it to her after the party — it was incredibly romantic. Neither of them are saying much about it, but there’s no doubt it was some kind of unofficial engagement.

In April of this year, Efron confirmed to a friend he and Vanessa had split.

Radio host Kyle Sandilands of “The Kyle and Jackie O Show” confirmed the split.

During a taping of his radio show he said, “It’s not just The Daily Telegraph. I can also confirm after speaking with him yesterday. They’ve gone their separate ways. No drama, but it’s done.”

Kyle was one of the lucky ones who was invited to Zac’s birthday party planned by Vanessa, back in October of last year, to which he revealed that the two were a “lovely couple” and that they “do everything together.”
