Tuesday marked the fifth day of the trial for former police officer Kim Potter.

Potter shot and killed Daunte Wright with her gun when she meant to use her taser.

Sergeant Mike Peterson testified about his taser training for the department.

He also performed a spark test for the jury and explained how to use a taser.

Commander Garett Flesland said that Potter took her duties and training seriously.

He testified that Potter never missed a training session.

He also testified that he would be “concerned” making an arrest on someone with an outstanding weapons charge.

When asked if Potter had to use deadly force, he replied, “Potentially, yes, but I wasn’t there.”

He later called Potter “a good person, she’s a friend. I had no concerns with her.”
