Cardi B Reveals New Album And Movie Scheduled for 2022 Release

Cardi B remains one of the biggest stars in the music industry, ever since her breakout 2017. She's also become one of the most marketable music stars, as she's partnered with brands such as Pepsi and Fashion Nova.

Fans of Cardi have also anxiously been waiting for her to finally release her sophomore album. Now, the New York rapper is finally giving answers to this as well as other projects she's working on.

In a recent Instagram post, Cardi explained how she's been so busy with her career as well as being a mother. Regrading the forthcoming album, it will finally arrive at some point in 2022. A movie is also in the works, that Cardi will be casted in. The last movie she appeared in, was in the ninth "Fast & Furious" film, this year.

“Everything be looking so glamorous when you see my f*cking Instagram and everything, but it’s been really… it’s been a lot. It’s been a lot trying to balance out my new motherf*cking life. I got two kids, my daughter’s going to school now, and I have, like, a lot of jobs now. I’m in a lot of positions and that requires a lot of my time, and on top of that, I gotta put out this album next year. Not only do I gotta put out an album, but I gotta record a movie, I gotta do so much sh*t, y’all.”

It's definitely been a very lengthy weight in regards to getting a new project from Cardi. The last one released was her April 2018 debut studio album, "Invasion Of Privacy."

IOP went on to be one of the biggest albums of 2018 as it debuted at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart. It was also led by the hit singles "Bodak Yellow" and "I Like It," featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny. Both of these singles went on to go diamond in the US this year as well. Currently, IOP is 3x platinum.

Over a week ago, Cardi also delivered some huge news to her fans in regards to another huge brand collaboration. This is that she is now Playboy's first ever Creative Director. Cardi is also a founding member of CENTERFOLD, which is the the new creator-led platform, from Playboy.

“Ya girl is now the FIRST EVER Creative Director In Residence at  @playboy!!! What a dream!! im getting the party started as the Founding Creative Director and a founding member of CENTERFOLD the new creator-led platform from @playboy. I’m so excited for everything that’s coming.”

Cardi also asked fans which artists that fans would like to see her put on the cover of Playboy. Answers included Rihanna, Selena Gomez, and Chlöe Bailey.
