A shocking revelation has just come to light in Tory Lanez's criminal case, for allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion, claiming he yelled "Dance B---h, Dance" before pulling the trigger.
The stunning fact was discussed during a preliminary hearing for the rapper's criminal case, where an LAPD detective took the stand to describe his interaction with the 'WAP' rapper after arriving on the scene of the shooting. According to detective Ryan Stogner, Megan told him that Lanez was highly intoxicated during the violent July 2020 incident.
The officer says police were called to a location in the Hollywood Hills at around 4:30 am, after a dispute between the rapper allegedly turned violent.
Tory Lanez Allegedly Shouted At Megan Thee Stallion To 'Dance' While Shooting Her Feet
Shockingly, the police detective claims Megan described Tory standing on the step board of the SUV they had been traveling in after Megan exited the vehicle during the argument. Tory allegedly stated, "dance B---h, dance," before firing several shots at Megan's feet. As soon as the shots were fired, she "immediately felt pain to her feet, observed blood, fell to the ground, and then crawled to an adjacent driveway of a residence," he said.
While under oath, the officer claimed Megan said Lanez begged her not to tell officers what actually occurred because he was on probation. At the time, she claimed Tory even offered her money to keep quiet. The story makes sense, considering Megan initially told officers that her injuries were caused by stepping on broken glass, and it wasn't until later she revealed the true nature of her injuries.
Megan Thee Stallion Claims She Initially Protected Tory Lanez
According to the 'WAP' rapper, in wake of George Floyd's death, she feared the cops might shoot Tory Lanez if she told them a Black man was carrying a gun and had just shot her in the feet. Of course, MTS was treated at the hospital for massive injuries to her feet, something she says is a direct result of the gunfire from Lanez.
During the hearing, officers revealed a handgun was found under the passenger seat, and it was "warm to the touch" indicating it had been recently fired.
As we've reported, Tory is denying he shot Megan during the incident but hasn't given a real explanation for what played out that fateful night. The rapper pled not guilty to the charges and is continuing to fight the case. Following the hearing, a judge ordered Tory back to stand trial for the charges and is due back in court on January 13. Tory is currently facing one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm in a manner that caused great bodily injury, and one count of carrying a concealed, unregistered weapon.
Tory Lanez Defense: I Was Protecting My Girl!
Interestingly, Tory's defense attorney -- Shawn Holley -- revealed part of Tory's defense during the hearing, claiming the argument in the car "escalated" when it was revealed Tory & Megan had been in a romantic relationship. The reason it's important is that Holley claimed the other woman in the car -- Megan's former assistant and friend -- had "a romantic interest in Tory." During the argument, the woman became jealous and "claimed Megan 'back-doored' her" with Lanez.
In the end, Tory's legal team says he made the statement "I was just trying to protect my girl," to the police -- indicating the altercation was actually between the two women.
