Kim, followed by 188 million on Instagram and seeing her entire family profit from the show that kicked it all off, opened writing: "To our amazing fans" as she posted a throwback of a promo poster for the award-winning series.

"After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children."

Fans seemingly have no words. "Omg, no!" one wrote. "The end of an era," another said. Thousands of comments poured in within the post's first 30 minutes, also garnering comments from Balmain's creative director Olivier Rousteing and friend Simon Huck.

Kim continued, writing: "Thank you to the thousands of individuals and businesses that have been a part of this experience and, most importantly, a very special thank you to Ryan Seacrest for believing in us, E! for being our partner, and our production team at Bunim/Murray, who’ve spent countless hours documenting our lives."

The series, also seeing Kris Jenner as executive producer, is considered one of the pillars of reality television, although its stars are now arguably better-known for their hugely-successful businesses. Seacrest himself has called the show his "biggest contribution to the world."

Kim's gushing statement, also confirming that the final "KUWTK" episode will air in early 2021, added:

"Without Keeping Up with The Kardashians, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years. This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever."

36-year-old sister Khloe Kardashian leads the comments with a series of pink heart and broken-heart emoji.
