Workers at the “flattened” candle factory in Mayfield, Kentucky are speaking out.

They claim that managers refused their requests to leave early.

At least 15 employees allege that they asked to leave when the tornado sirens went off.

Supervisors told their staff that they had to stay and work.

At least eight people were killed in the factory.

Many more workers were hospitalized.

There is still not an updated count of how many people were inside the factory Friday night.

Beshear asked employees to check in at a local Church to confirm an accurate count.

Managers deny that they threatened to terminate employees who left early.
