Part one of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” season reunion aired on Bravo this week, and Denise Richards was under attack. First, it was Erika Jayne, Lisa Rinna, and Teddi Mellencamp calling her out for being hypocritical when it comes to the women discussing sex. That was followed by Rinna going after Richards for liking a tweet that said Rinna should be fired from the show.
Richards and Rinna used to be very close friends, but now things are very strained between the two. They reportedly have not talked since the reuion.
“Denise is upset with how the season ended, but she has no regrets about anything,” a source told Hollywood Life. “She spoke her truth and put her side out there and stands by it.”
The insider explained that Richards is open to mending their friendship, but she wants Rinna to apologize.
“She’s happy it’s all been shown and is now over with,” the source added. “She’d love to be able to repair her friendship with Lisa Rinna, as they have not spoken since the reunion, but she really feels she’s owed an apology.”
The tweet in question read, “Absolutely fire [Lisa Rinna]. She’s not only a bully but she ‘claims’ she’s not a racist. Has [Erika Jayne] apologized to Sami and Lola yet??? Or to [Denise Richards]?!”
“Denise, you liked a comment that said that Lisa Rinna should lose her job,” Erika said during the reunion.
Richards claimed she liked the tweet because she only saw the part about Jayne. “It was actually a comment to you, Erika, about the comment you made about my daughter,” she said. “It was actually by accident, and that’s the truth. I only saw the comment about Erika that I was commenting.”
That explanation then set Rinna off. “You did it in a public forum. You liked a tweet like that that was so vile and so nasty, you knew exactly what you were doing,” she yelled. “Don’t you fuck around and lie to me about that.”
“Oh fucking shut up. Denise, you lie lie lie lie lie,” Rinna continued.
Host Andy Cohen then jumped in and asked Richards if she had tried to change up her image during this season.
“No, I felt very uncomfortable early on in the season with the women where I felt like I was on the receiving end of being a target, truthfully,” she replied.
The episode ended with Rinna accusing Richards of “gaslighting” the cast.
