Kaley Cuoco’s husband, Karl Cook, was the big winner with his horse during a showjumping competition over the weekend, and even though his wife was all the way in New York she was able to cheer him on to victory! The former “Big Bang Theory” star broadcast the amazing feat on her Instagram Stories throughout the Saturday afternoon as Cook and his team at Pomponio Ranch competed in the $22,500 Del Mar Fall Grand Prix at the Del Mar Horse Track in Southern California.
Cuoco, who is currently in New York wrapping up filming on her upcoming HBO Max series, “The Flight Attendant,” was able to stream the showjumping competition and gave a jump-by-jump on Instagram Stories for her over 6 million followers. Cuoco wrote that it was “great to see” Karl back on one of the couple’s beloved horses, Caillou.
The actress noted that her husband was “3 for 3” on his jumps so far, and also played a good sport by rooting on his competitor, who happens to be a friend of the couple. Turns out the equestrian community is pretty small, so it’s good to spread the positivity!
Cuoco then showed video of her husband taking the lead. “Come on Karl!” his supportive wife screamed at her computer while the equestrian star nailed his jumps with his beloved steed. In the end, Karl and Caillou earned the big victory the winners and walked away with the $22,500 grand prize!
“Awww!!” Cuoco could be heard saying while gushing with pride while her husband and Caillou took a lap around the arena in Del Mar.
“Out of 50 starters and a down-to-the-wire jump off, Karl Cook @mrtankcook and Caillou 24 won the $22,500 Del Mar Fall Grand Prix presented by EQ Consults. ✨ Congratulations Karl, Jenni @jennig756 and the whole @pomponioranch team!” a message on the event organizers Instagram feed read.
Kaley Cuoco’s younger sister, Bri Cuoco, also shot some sweet video of the actress rooting on her husband while watching on the computer. The love that Kaley and her husband have for each other is truly inspiring and they constantly support the other in their endeavors.
Cuoco has always shown support for her husband and his passion, especially recently when Karl found himself in a bit of controversy for trying to speak out about changes that he feels need to be made in the equestrian world.
The drama went down back in July after 29-year-old Cook took to Instagram in an 11-minute long video where he criticized the United States Equestrian Federation’s handling of horse competitions and the prize money given to the winning teams. He also accused the organization of creating a monopoly with their strict rules that prohibit similar competitions from going on near one another, which Cook believes is negatively impacting the equestrian sports.
Unfortunately, Cook, who is worth an estimated $100 million through his wealthy family, came off in a bad light to some who immediately fired back at the star.
He later returned to social media to clear up his comments, but Cuoco also showed support and backed up her husband after fans went on the attack.
