Iconic singer-songwriter Jewel delivered some fire into her social media feed while also sending a message about being comfortable with your body and not being ashamed to serve up a thirst trap if the mood strikes just right! The 46-year-old star took to Instagram on Thursday to drop a hot “hotel selfie” for her 250,000 followers.
“Vintage corset for the win,” Jewel captioned her titillating photo.
Even though the pic was definitely enticing, the singer made sure to put a positive spin on why she decided to share in the first place.
In her provocative photo, the “Who Will Save Your Soul” singer was perched atop a comfy hotel bed and framed by the bedside mirror. Jewel showed off her fit frame with a tight corset and played with the light and shadows underneath a gray hat.
“This pic got me thinking… How many women have struggled w liking their body? How many times have you (I) felt less than, only to look back on photos of that time and think- I had no idea I was enough?” 46-year-old Jewel asked her fans in the caption.
The Alaskan-born singer has long used her voice and platform to speak out on issues she feels are important, and now is asking women, “Who finds the sexuality of how women in media are portrayed to be inauthentic and put-on?”
She added, “Here is to being good with where we are … and flaunting it sometimes when we feel good!”
Fans loved Jewel’s positive attitude and praised the star for her fire hotel photo shoot.
“That corset looks great on you. Definitely a classic beauty for a gorgeous woman!” one fan wrote.
“your [sic] awesome at any age and time in your life. Your beauty comes from within,” another fan pointed out.
Jewel has more to feel good about lately than her smoldering hotel selfie, because she’s also celebrating two years of owning a small business. The “Foolish Games” singer recently recognized the 2-year anniversary of her jewelry line, Songlines By Jewel.
The jewelry line is very special to the star, as it’s designed personally by Jewel and handmade at her shop in Telluride, CO.
“I couldn’t be more proud of what we have done and the community we have built with all of you! Our idea was to make a wearable mandala… mindful reminders of who we are and want to be, to help us navigate life with purpose and meaning. We’re grateful for so much, but most especially, for all of you,” Jewel wrote on Instagram.
