Britney Spears delivered sound wisdom from her backyard today, and she even quoted another giant music face. The “Toxic” singer whose 2020 headlines seem to have brought her zero luck as her 2008-commenced conservatorship is extended until at least 2021 has been keeping busy on Instagram. Britney, followed by 26.2 million, updated on Thursday with a look was that was all-too-familiar, although the caption was fresh.
Britney is now quoting Rare Beauty founder and superstar singer Selena Gomez. Check it out below.
Scroll for the video – if you’re a Britney IG follower, you’ll have recognized the peasant blouse and backyard setup. Those less familiar with the “Circus” singer’s social media should know that repetitive looks and backdrops are a #FreeBritney talking point, with Spears continuing to insist that her posts are not recycled, even time-stamping them and verbatim saying:
“To the peeps who think I’m posting the same pics….well you know us girls…”
Today’s video showed Britney with flowers in her hair and seemingly a near-bare face.
Britney, filmed in her backyard with her abs on show and a vulnerable feel, looked deep into the camera with her blonde hair worn down. She opened, writing:
“For the first time in my life I’m going without lots and lots of makeup !!!!!! These clips show a closer look at my face …. which is very scary for me ??? … you can actually see my freckles !!!!”
Spears then moved onto Hollywood in general, where the former Mickey Mouse Club star is all-too-familiar with industry ways. More after the video.
Britney, then talking about a Hollywood upbringing being hard and calling the press “mean” for poking around looks and weight, moved onto to quote 28-year-old Selena Gomez.
“As Selena Gomez says ….. the world can be a nasty place … kill them with kindness … GOD BLESS YOU ALL ❤️❤️❤️ !!!!”
Britney was quoting the well-known lyrics from “Wizards of Waverley Place” alum Gomez’s 2015-released “Kill Em With Kindness” track. Britney received kindness – of forms – in the comments. Fans were once again claiming that the singer isn’t posting fresh content – in fact, #FreeBritney is hell-bent on believing that the singer doesn’t even control her own Instagram.
Britney’s 2020 has looked a lot like this. A red backdrop, then a white one, then a yellow one with plenty of the same crop top and shorts looks. Despite calling herself “authentic” in July and just this week shutting down allegations she isn’t controlling the feed, Britney still has to put up with the speculation.
“She’s posted 29 photos and/or videos in this top now. We need to arrange a search and rescue,” one fan wrote.
“I am so worried that her team posts same photos and videos of her,” another said.
Scroll for the very latest – from Britney – seemingly saying she doesn’t want 68-year-old dad Jamie Spears controlling her finances anymore.
