Kylie Jenner is thanking her fans for supporting her latest cosmetics launch and is dropping some fresh fire on her Instagram feed as a special gift. The Kylie Cosmetics mogul took to Instagram on Tuesday evening and delivered a message to her 193 million followers following a successful drop of her summer Sailor Collection.
The 23-year-old “KUWTK” star shared a provocative pic of herself wearing a complete sailor outfit with a glammed up squid lid and anchor jewelry. Kylie completed her outfit by bursting out of a nautical-themed top.
“[T]hank you for all the love on the summer collection ?⚓️,” Kylie wrote to fans on Instagram.
Fans loved Kylie’s sexy sailor outfit and praised the star in her Instagram comments.
“So stunning!” one fan wrote.
“Looking just like the illustrations,” another fan commented in reference to the colorful illustrations on Kylie’s Sailor Collection.
However, many people had to do a double take after seeing Kylie’s photo and thought she was serving up a duplicate of Selena Gomez’s look from the star’s new video.
While most fans were enjoying Kylie’s titlitating nautical look, others thought she was copping Selena Gomez’s style from her newest music collaboration, “Ice Cream” with South Korean girl group, Blackpink.
“Why does she look like selena from icecream?,” one fan wrote.
“Omg I thought this was Selena in the Ice Cream video,” a second fan noticed.
Other fans pointed out that Kylie’s Sailor Collection came out before “Ice Cream,” but couldn’t refute the similarities between the two stars. Looking at the two outfits, they do appear to be very similar … and both look fantastic.
Kylie may be wearing the red white and blue in her promo shots, but the reality star caused some international uproar recently by leaving the U.S. to travel to Paris during the COVID-19 pandemic when travel to and from the United States is extremely limited. Kylie reportedly traveled to Paris on a “business exemption” for meetings with her new cosmetics partner, Coty, but the social media influencer has caused a stir by visiting famous landmarks and tourist attractions while in Paris.
Kylie Jenner had lots to celebrate when she sold 51% of her cosmetics company to Coty in a deal that reportedly netted the star over $600,000. However, it was soon revealed that her new partner had skeletons in the closet. It turns out Coty’s largest shareholder is a private German investment conglomerate named JAB Holding Company, which is owned by a family with admitted ties to Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party.
It’s unclear if the Kardashian family was aware of the connection before the multi-million dollar deal, but Peter Harf, chairman of JAB Holding, said of the revelation: “We were ashamed and white as the wall. There is nothing to gloss over. These crimes are disgusting.”
