The entire gaming world was in shock after the popular streaming platform, Twitch, announced it was banning DrDisrespect from their platform for life.
The news that DrDisrespects, aka Beahm IV, was booted from Twitch after signing a lucrative one year ten million contracts send shockwaves across the entertainment scene. Nobody for sure knows exactly why the popular streamer got the harsh treatment, but a representative of the platform hinted to a mysterious violation.
A generic statement from Twitch read in part that DrDisrespect had violated The Platform’s Community Guidelines and Services’ Terms and that the ban applies to everyone. “These actions apply to all streamers regardless of prominence or status in the community”, the statement concluded.
No one from the company has offered any explanation on the exact “violation,” and many in the gaming world speculate that it could be anything from a DMCA copyright violation to a more severe offense. Reports suggest that this particular ban was so pretty serious that DrDisrespect’s subscribers were given refunds.
Will DrDisrespect seek redress from courts?
And as expected, DrDisrespect is already shooting from the hip. He rebuffs the allegations he violated the terms of his contract and goes on to blame Twitch for violating his rights and acting unprofessionally while handling the whole fiasco.
DrDisrespect, when reached out for comment, said,”…people in the community are eager for an answer, and so what that does, it creates a level of urgency and speculations, and I think it’s just a fxxcking cockroach approach, period. That is the last thing I’m going to say about it, and I have to be intelligent about all this.”
He further gave a strong indication that he was taking a legal battle to the doorsteps of Twitch. In one of the exclusive interviews with PC gamer, he was asked whether he will seek legal address, and he replied in the affirmative,”…… we are considering taking legal action”.
DrDisRespect is receiving unwavering support
Most fans expect DrDisrespect to rebound back stronger than ever. A video feed of the good Doc’s last steam shows the streamer reassuringly telling his fan base that they would endure the tough times ahead and “get through this.”
As DrDisrespect faces a bleak future, he is not only receiving support from his lawyers but also his loyal fans and those closest to him. His wife, who goes by the online name “Mrs. Assasin,” dropped a message of gratitude directed at all those who have stood her husband.
“The outpouring love, support, strength, and kindness have been truly overwhelming. You have all made my heart full, and I cannot thank you enough. No one better out there than CC. You guys are amazing! Much love to you all”.
The couple who are blessed with one daughter had had a fair share of marriage troubles in the past, with DrDisrespect admitting to cheating on his wife with a girl he met through his gaming career. But if the latest development is anything to go by, the latest Twitch misfortune may serve as a blessing in disguises for the couple because it has unexpectedly brought them closer than ever.
