Kim Cattrall is subtly keeping tabs on the recently released “Sex And The City” reboot, “And Just Like That.”

Cattrall famously played the role of PR mastermind and sex enthusiast, Samantha Jones, on the hit HBO series, ‘SATC.’

However, a real-life rift between Cattrall and her other cast members, more specifically Sarah Jessica Parker, led to her quitting the franchise altogether.

The actress starred in the series from 1998 to 2004, as well as, the two ‘SATC’ spin-off movies.

When news of a ‘SATC 3’ movie began to make media headlines, it was revealed that it wasn’t getting made due to Cattrall’s “demands” which halted the film.

However, Cattrall told a very different story to Piers Morgan in 2017.

She revealed she had been saying ‘NO’ to a third film for over a year before SJP went public with her version of the story, which painted a horrible picture of Cattrall.

“Nobody ever picks up the phone and tries to contact you and say, ‘How you doing?’ That would have been the way to handle it,” Cattrall shared, suggesting SJP is not the only co-star to blame for the rift. “This is, it feels like, a toxic relationship.”

“And Just Like That” has been met with mixed reviews. In the event you have NOT yet watched it, this is your SPOILER ALERT warning.

Fans knew long before the reboot aired that Cattrall would NOT be taking on the role of Samantha.

The beloved character is mentioned numerous times in the reboot, and she ultimately moved to London after Carrie [SJP] let her go as a publicist.

Carrie explains to Miranda and Charlotte that she reached out to Samantha countless times via text, but received no return messages.

The last we “see” of Samantha in the first two episodes is when she sends a flower arrangement to Carrie at Big’s funeral.

The card attached to the flowers simply says, “Love Samantha.”

Many people took to social media to express their like and dislike for the reboot, but a resounding number of people commented on the reboot’s lack of Samantha.

And Cattrall ‘liked’ the chatter on Twitter.

One fan sent out a “Kim appreciation tweet,” writing, “And just like that… I find myself only wanting to watch anything Kim Cattrall is in.”

“Kim Cattrall didn’t return to SATC because her scatting career is finally taking off,” is another tweet the actress liked.

Another Samantha Jones fan tweeted, “Kim was the best part of Sex in the city….Just love her ❤️…”

Cattrall gave another like to a tweet that read, “And just like that…I want to rewatch 2014 HBO Canada prestige Toronto-set dramedy Sensitive Skin starring Kim Cattrall.”

On Friday, December 10, “And Just Like That” creator, Michael Patrick King, revealed why Samantha was not killed off.

“Story wise, I came up with the idea that Samantha’s in London because we didn’t want to kill her. We love Samantha. That’s ridiculous,” King told US Weekly.

And Just Like That was never, ever intended to be including Kim Cattrall because she decided she didn’t wanna play Samantha many, many years ago. We love Kim. I love Kim. I loved her Samantha, and I knew that everybody, including myself, had invested years in those four friendships,” he continued. “So, I didn’t want to pretend that there was an absence — or wasn’t an absence. I wanted to reflect the reality of the fact that there was one not joining.”
