Dre Battled Brain Aneurysm In January

In the first few days of 2021, Dre definitely had a rough start to the year. At the time, he was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. This was due to a brain aneurysm that had developed.

Dre spent nearly two weeks at Cedars-Sinai, in the ICU. When he was approved to go back home, he also received treatment for several weeks. This was done in order to make sure that there were no other medical issues that would surface. Doctors would not end up finding the cause of what triggered Dre's brain aneurysm, though.

Dre went on to thank his supporters, in a lengthy Instagram post. He also thanked the employees at Cedars-Sinai, for their "excellent" care that they provided to him.
