Bella Hadid Challenged In Sheer Top With Unusually-Placed Mask

By Rebecca Cukier

Bella Hadid just got trashed – in more ways than one. The 23-year-old supermodel now sees hundreds of users liking comments querying everything from her stylish sheer top to her non-worn mask – Bella was photographed in NYC ahead of the weekend, putting on a sizzling display as she stepped out onto streets.

Bella, snapped on Friday and clearly dressed to impress, had not, however, dressed for a pandemic. The Dior Beauty spokesperson did have a mask – but not quite how they're traditionally used. Scroll for how the sister to Gigi Hadid decided to sport it, plus the response.

Instagram Has Major Issues With The Mask

The photos showed Bella looking impeccably stylish and rocking tapered black pants, plus a sheer black bodysuit with bralette-like additions forming an unusual – and slightly revealing – getup. Heels and a spike bun added pizzazz, but nobody was talking about the footwear.

Told Outfit Ain't Working, Slammed For Mask

The comments have been racking up.

"Holding mask with hand? seriously?" a user wrote, with 250 others agreeing.

"What a nice way to use her mask 😷🙃😂🤷🏽‍♂️," another said.

Bella, herself followed by 32.6 million on Instagram and largely considered a style queen both on the runway and off it, didn't seem to see users convinced by her outfit – "Love Bella but I don’t like this outfit darling," one wrote. Another fan replied: "There are more revealing outfits that are nicer and flattering. This ain’t."

Baring Her Burrito To Encourage Social Distancing

Bella may not have worn her mask, but the catwalk queen has more than encouraged a pandemic-fighting attitude. She made headlines this month for flipping off NYPD officers for not wearing masks.

Back in March, the new Burberry face bravely went topless in a burrito bare to encourage social distancing, writing:

"Me and my burrito telling you to stay inside! not only for the sake of just yourself but also for literally the entire world and all of the people that you love ..❤️ "

Bella has largely spent COVID-19 at mom Yolanda Hadid's 32-acre Pennsylvania Farm, also joined by pregnant sister Gigi Hadid. She's also opened up on pandemic life.

Back In NYC After Saying She Missed It

On August 3, Bella was profiled by Elle, speaking about Black Lives Matter, plus her lock-down. The model stated missing the Big Apple – "I miss smiling at people. I miss hugging, a lot. I miss walking around and listening to music. It’s different when you’re in the city. You can walk forever—going nowhere and somehow still feeling like you’ve got somewhere to be," she said.

Unfortunately for Bella, Just Jared's viewers weren't in the mood: "Is that how we wear our masks?🤔🤔," one user asked.

"That’s definitely not wearing a mask. What a joke 🤦🏼‍♀️," another said.
