Megan Thee Stallion has been one of the biggest artists over the last two years, as she's elevated every year. She's also still an icon in her home state of Texas, as she represents her hometown of Houston faithfully.

Megan Receives Prestigious Awards In Texas

On Sunday, Megan went on to be honored in Texas as well. The H-Town Hottie took to her Instagram feed to announced that she had been awarded with the 18th Congressional District of Texas Hero Award. This was presented to her by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.

"Today I was given thee 18th Congressional District of Texas Hero Award by congresswoman @sheilajacksonlee In my hometown HOUSTON TX 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽although I appreciate the recognition I’m just happy that I am able to give back to and put smiles on the faces of the people in my city."

Megan Also Had Her College Graduation In Houston This Weekend

On December 11, Megan also graduation from Texas Southern University. She received her bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, as she was loudly applauded on social media.

Megan was seen in multiple viral clips of her in her cap and gown, as well as walking across the stage. She was seen alongside her classmates in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences department.

The celebration was definitely on after the graduation ceremony as well. Meg was seen being presented a custom Texas Southern University jacket by her boyfriend, Pardison Fontaine. The front of the jacket displayed the TSU logo, and the back read "Thee Stallion University.

Megan initially announced back in mid-February that she and Pardi are a couple, after months of speculation. In October, the two celebrated their 1-year anniversary of dating each other. Prior to their February coming out news, it appears that they had kept their the radar, for months.

Megan Scored Three Grammy Wins In 2021

The wins continue to keep rolling for Megan. In addition to her becoming a college graduate, the musical accolades are also piling up.

In March, Meg won three Grammy awards out of the four categories she was nominated in. These were for Best New Artist, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance. She was close to winning Best Record, but that went to Billie Eilish's "Everything I Wanted."

Megan could also possibly add another Grammy, next month. She is nominated in the category of Best Rap Performance, for the 2022 Grammys. This is for Meg's summer 2021 smash hit single, "Thot S*it." Other nominees in this category include Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar's "Family Ties," Cardi B's "Up," J. Cole, 21 Savage, and Morray's "My Life," and Drake, Future, and Young Thug's "Way 2 Sexy."
