Kanye West Sunday Service Choir Performs In First Event Since Concert With Drake

Kanye West has been trending since Thursday, due to his "Free Larry Hoover" benefit concert, with Drake. Ahead of the performance, Ye got his Sunday service choir to perform at the LA Coliseum.

Kanye's Sunday Service choir has been very popular on social media for over three years now. They've made frequent performances on weekends, and now, they are back again.

Kanye created a rare Instagram Live session on Sunday. There, he was live streaming a performance from the Sunday Service choir. The singers were seen dressed in all black, and performed various hit songs that fans are familiar. They even sung Drake's 2018 hit single, "God's Plan."

Back in late 2019, Kanye made an appearance at pastor Joel Osteen's huge Lakewood church in Houston. Ye's Sunday Service choir performed there, as things went extremely well for both sides.

At the end of that year, there were discussions about Kanye and Joel doing Sunday Service events together all across the United States. The two even discussed about doing an event at New York City's Yankee Stadium, in May 2020. That obvious wasn't able to happen due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

There were also plans for Kanye and Joel to host an event at Guaranteed Rate Field, which is in Ye's hometown of Chicago. Since then, talks about this religious tour haven't resumed at all.

The Kanye and Drake "Free Larry Hoover" benefit concert has since gone on to receive a lot of love on social media. Both superstars wore Free Larry Hoover gear.

Ye delivered performances of some of his biggest classics of all time, such as "Gold Digger," "Stronger," "Can't Tell Me Nothing," "Mercy," and more. This wasn't the same reaction for Drake though, as fans were surprised to hear him not performing his own classic records as well.

Despite the overwhelmingly positive reaction for Kanye and the way he put together the Larry Hoover concert, many aren't approving of the fact that it happened. According to TMZ, the. federal government are surprised that Ye went through with hosting this concert, with Drake.

Law enforcement reportedly view Hoover as the "worst of the worst." Hoover has been serving a life sentence, as he's been incarcerated since the 1970s. These are due to charges of conspiracy, extortion, money laundering, and running a continual criminal enterprise from a state prison.

Hoover is serving six life sentences. The 71-year-old is also known for co-founding the Gangster Disciples gang, in Chicago.
