The CEO of the Mayfield Candle Company, Troy Propes, is asking the public for donations.

He has set up a Paypal account and is asking people to donate to the MCP Candles Tornado Victims’ Fund.

He said that they are “heartbroken” about the lives lost in the disaster.

There is still not a confirmed number of fatalities at this time.

110 workers were inside the factory at the time the tornado struck.

Approximately 40 of those workers have been rescued but there are still many unaccounted for.

The last rescue occurred on Saturday morning at around 3:30 AM.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said it’s a “very dire situation at this point.”

He said that this “may be the largest loss of life in any tornado event in a single location, and in the state’s history.”
