The “Real Housewives of New York” three-part reunion special doesn’t debut until September 10th, but fans are getting their first looks at some of the drama that when down when the women filmed the show in-person a couple weeks ago. The reunion features Dorinda Medley — who made the surprising announcement this week that she’s leaving the show — Leah McSweeney, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and Tinsley Mortimer.
At one point in the teaser for the special, Medley and Singer get into it. “Go with your loser friends, they’re a PSA statement for a bad facelift! Like yours!” Dorinda yells at Ramona.
“You are disgusting, go to church!” Ramona says back.
In another portion of the clip, Dorinda says, “Ramona is out every single night drinking,”to which she replies, “I drink water, why do you think I’m thin?”
Dorinda hits her with low blow, saying, “You’re not that thin.”
There was plenty of drama elsewhere in the reunion. On night one, Mortimer quickly comes under fire from Singer. “A very glowing Tinsley updates the ladies on her relationship with Scott and life in Chicago, but things quickly heat up when Dorinda calls her out for not being transparent with the group and finishing the season early,” Bravo’s teaser said.
That all prompts host Andy Cohen to ask Mortimer, “Aren’t you happy you came Tinsley?”
Later, the women can be seen attacking Singer for her behavior during the coronavirus pandemic. McSweeney has been particularly outspoken about her disapproval of Singer after she fled for Florida in the early stages of the outbreak, but returned to New York once things calmed down and was spotted out at parties.
On the last night of the reunion, things get heated between Singer and Medley. “The drama continues when Dorinda calls out Ramona for not supporting her, but Ramona brings receipts front and center to defend herself,” Bravo says. “Dorinda becomes emotional as she defends herself against accusations that she has an issue with controlling her anger.”
Medley made the announcement this week that this was her last season on the show.
“What a journey this has been. I have laughed and cried and tried to Make it Nice,” she wrote on Instagram. “But all things must come to an end. This was a great outlet for me to heal when my late husband Richard passed away.”
While it seems she left under her own terms, there has been some speculation that she was actually fired by Bravo.
