Veteran CNN producer John Griffin of Stamford, Connecticut, was just indicted on charges of luring girls to his ski home in Vermont for “sexual subservience” training.
Griffin, 44, was arrested on Friday after a Vermont federal grand jury charged him with three counts of attempting to entice minors to engage in unlawful sexual activity. He faces a minimum of ten years in jail on each count.
Griffin is a father himself and has three young children. In addition to a nine-year tenure at CNN, he has also worked as a producer at ABC News, Fox News, and CBS.

According to the indictment from the United States Attorney of Vermont, Griffin used messaging apps to converse with mothers of young girls. He told them things like “A woman is a woman regardless of her age” and offered to “train” their daughters sexually.
In June 2020, Griffin persuaded one mother to bring her two daughters to his ski home in Vermont. According to the indictment, Griffin told the mother that it was her responsibility to make sure her eldest daughter, who was only thirteen years old, was “trained properly.”
According to court documents, Griffin sent the woman three thousand dollars to buy plane tickets from Nevada to Boston’s Logan airport. He then picked them up in his Tesla and drove them to Vermont. Authorities reported that “the daughter was directed to engage in, and did engage in, unlawful sexual activity.”
In addition, Griffin also allegedly used apps like Kik and Google Hangout to try to convince two children to engage in sexual activity. In April 2020, Griffin was reported to have offered minors a “virtual training session” over video chat. Allegedly, this training session involved a mother and her 14-year-old daughter, where he instructed them to remove their clothing and touch each other.
Two months later, he reportedly suggested that the mother of a sixteen-year-old girl should take a “little mother-daughter” trip for “training.”
Griffin Boasts Of Working Shoulder-To-Shoulder With Chris Cuomo
Griffin’s LinkedIn profile says that he is a Lead Anchor’s Senior Producer on CNN’s “New Day.” He boasts about working “shoulder-to-shoulder with lead anchor Chris Cuomo, seeing him through each show and producing live breaking news across the country and around the world.”
Chris Cuomo has recently stepped out of the spotlight after facing multiple allegations of sexual misconduct from former colleagues. It is believed that these allegations are what led Cuomo to finally be fired from the network. He had faced indefinite suspension earlier in the week after it was revealed that he was more involved with helping his brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, than he initially let on.
Cuomo has since stepped away from his SiruisXM show and HarperCollins canceled his upcoming book release. At least three women have accused Cuomo of sexual misconduct.
Former ABC executive producer Shelley Ross alleged that Chris Cuomo grabbed her rear end during a work party in 2005. He allegedly told her, “I can do this now that you’re no longer my boss.”
In 2020, producer Melanie Buck reported that she was replaced as executive producer of “Cuomo Prime Time” after she told CNN President Jeff Zucker that she “felt threatened” by Cuomo.
Another woman described only as “a former junior colleague at another network” only came forward under the condition that her identity and statements be kept confidential.
