Selma Blair is demanding attention by dropping straight fire into her Instagram feed, but also sending an important message to fans about getting out to vote. The “Cruel Intentions” star took to social media on Tuesday with a photo guaranteed to draw excitement from her 2.4 million fans.
“Voting in style. But just VOTE,” Blair captioned a photo of herself in a pair of new Stuart Weitzman election-themed leather boots.
The famed designer recently debuted the limited-edition footwear, with a portion of the proceeds going towards a good cause.
Selma Blair appeared to have taken the photo in her driveway and dressed in all-black for the shoot. Showing off her flexibility, and killer legs, in a split/crouch position Blair made sure to show off the “VOTE” wording emblazoned down the leg of her boot while staring into the camera with a smoldering gaze.
The boots are listed on the Stuart Weitzman online store for $695 … but according to the site all profits from the limited-edition boots are going towards a good cause:
“This exclusive design was created to raise awareness about voting during an important moment in history. Only 100 pairs are available, and 100% of net profits from the sale of this style will be donated to the nonprofit, nonpartisan organization I am a voter. Learn more about the partnership here.”
Blair has been open with fans about adjusting to life during the quarantine, and recently shared that she was about to take a day trip to the beach with her ex, Jason Bleick, and their 9-year-old son, Arthur. The family spent the day at Pismo Beach in Southern California and Blair spoke about how special the day was.
“We took a family road trip to the beach. It was perfect. The ocean still the constant pulling us all in with laughter and wonder as it always has. Roaming the beach together, Arthur digging for clams and showing me how. The love all around. Big. The boys of summer. My guys.”
While trying to figure out how to navigate her new “normal,” Blair shared a message with fans about how she’s coping.
Nothing feels ‘normal’ lately. Most of us feel worried and sad and angry to a greater degree than that normal we used to be comforted with. Emotions spinning, planning strategies for the days ahead. Today. The next hour even.”
While showing off a pink dress the actress had received from a friend, Blair added, “So I slipped on this dress and let out a laugh. A selfie in a pink dress with a hand up in enthusiasm!… still feels great.”
Another activity Blair has been taking part in during quarantine has been catching up on reading. The actress wrote about her love of a good book and pointed to a specific title, “Ghost,” that she had picked up for the summer.
“Dog days of summer reading… essential for thoughtful time while alone… right now especially! The track series by @jasonreynolds83 is a must read for both parent and child. In spare, electric prose, the main character, self named Ghost is a runner. With training and dedication, a new opportunity with a coach who sees past the ghost of his pain, he can change the course of his life. Books change lives. Thank you to all the writers connecting us. Especially this one.”
