Olivia Rodrigo's Fans Turn Sour Over 'Sour Tour' Tickets

Olivia Rodrigo was the shiniest star to have come through 2021 with songs like "Driver's License" and of course, "Good 4 u". So obviously, when she announced her first tour, the "Sour Tour" fans were over the moon.

For many of her unfortunate fans, tickets were sold out near instantly on Friday itself but now they are reappearing, only the prices have gone sky-high, leaving fans rather sour. Here's more...

The 18-year-old "Traitor" singer took to Instagram with a poster announcing the Sour Tour and the post has risen to 3.3 million likes and counting over the last four days. That said; comments starting to pour in instantly because her tour in America seems to be missing Florida and it's upsetting her fans big time.

Comments like, "WHERE IS FLORIDA OMG" and "WHAT ABOUT MIAMI, ORLANDO, TAMPA? ANYTHING IN FLORIDA?!!!!" started to flood the post. From her International fans, there were demands for her to come to Brazil and Spain, because she is performing in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland, Ireland, and the UK.

The fans are not very happy although Olivia is on cloud nine.

Olivia took to Instagram recently to thank her fans for all their support, with a little consolation message for all those who could not get tickets. She wrote, "SOUR TOUR is sold out!!! Been waiting so long to perform these songs live. this is my very first tour and I’m so nervous but so excited to sing and dance the night away with you all!"

But then she also added a little message for all her fans who weren't so lucky, saying. "if you weren’t able to get tickets this time around there will be more tours in the future and I can’t wait to see you then!!! thank u to all my incredible fans. love u guys sm ???? ahhh here we goooo!!!"

Fans were not very impressed and one articulated, "I hope this can be organized better next time and I hope your team will arrange better and bigger venues." Clearly, this Instagram user struck a nerve because her post got more than 20,000 likes.

Another lamented, "it was literally impossible to get tickets the website wouldn’t load at all ?".

According to media reports, the very tickets that were promptly grabbed on Friday are now being resold online but at humungous prices.

For instance, San Francisco tickets are being offered as high as $9,000. Things are no better in other cities as prices in New York stand at about $6,000 and Chicago tickets are going for $5,000 a pop.

Meanwhile, fans are still hoping for a miracle, as one wrote, "Still waiting on my tickets to magically appear or just some blessing so I can go to the concert ??". The only magic that can be seen right now is the magic of money. For the rest of Rodrigo's fans, the Sour Tour turned sour, just like the proverbial grapes.
