Ireland's pandemic headlne-making has largely included her backing Black Lives Matter and joking about quarantine – she did it by wielding a kitchen knife as she joked the pandemic had made her "fat." Body-image is, however, no laughing matter for the model who opened up about her eating disorder past in 2018.

Just this month, Ireland fronted media outlets for celebrating six years "free of anorexia and bulimia," saying she'd gotten a call from her "old program." Ireland is free of both illnesses and "all my other food compulsions," also encouraging her followers: "You can do it."
