Nick Cannon is certainly showing some amazing personal strength, still showing up to work after the sad passing of his 5 month old son last weekend.

On his show yesteday morning the also host of The Masked Singer, and Wild ´n Out revealed a photograph of a tattoo that he had recently gotten to honor his late son. The photo shows that the tattoo that is imprinted on Cannon's rib area. Nick also shared an emotional message with audiences as he revealed the picture.

This gesture potentially culminates a shockingly sad week for Cannon, and his production team on his morning show, who by most accounts were shocked by the live announcement that Nick Cannon made on the passing of his son a few days back.

Nick Cannon Used His Pic Of The Day Segment To Reveal His Tattoo

Nick Cannon has an ongoing segment on his show that he calls the pic of the day. As we mentioned Cannon has shared some very sad news with his audience recently. There was not a dry eye on set once again Friday morning when Cannon revealed the picture. The tattoo features a baby angel. Presumably modeled after the likeness of his late son. The angel has a band across the chest that reads "Zen" the name of Nick's late son.

Emotional Words From Cannon Thanking The Audience

When revealing the pic of the day Nick addressed the audience to thank them for their support through the tough times. If people hadn't gotten emotional with just the picture itself Nick's words were enough to break virtually anyone he told the audience,

"This is a week where I've seen so much love. More love than I've probably ever experienced so even in the midst of a loss, I gotta say thank you to y'all,"

Cannon would go on to say that getting the tattoo itself was a painful experience physically. He mentioned though that ultimately he was thankful for having the opportunity to use that pain as part of the grieving process that he's going through. Cannon said,

"I'm still all bandaged up, and it hurts right here right now… It was a lot of pain but it was so well worth it, I enjoyed every moment of the experience to forever have my son right here as my rib, right here on my side, as my angel."

The Folks On Set Did Not Know That He Would Announce The Death Of His Son

Obviously the past few days have been rough on Cannon and his family. The folks on set at his morning show also had a rollercoaster like emotional experience alongside him. When announcing the death of his son in another of his pic of the day segments Nick Cannon mentioned that he had not shared with the crew that his son passed away before telling the audience. Cannon has since then essentially had a very public grieving process. As he has yet to stop working even a day!

He mentioned that some family members have urged him to take a step back. However, that doesn't seem to be in the cards for him right now.
