Whitney Cummings Says She’s Aching To Propose To Her New Man

Whitney Cummings is an American filmmaker, actress, podcaster, and comedian who has been in many television series as an actress, producer, director, and showrunner. The actress has been in the entertainment industry since the early 2000s.

Cummings is known for her role in "Whitney" as the creator and producer. The 39-year-old also co-created the famous Emmy-nominated comedy series "2 Broke Girls." In addition to her Hollywood pursuits, the podcaster has released four stand-up comedy specials and is currently on her "Touch Me" stand-up tour stretching across 50 cities.

In her latest Touch Me Tour show on Friday in Anaheim, CA, the comedienne told some jokes that gave insight into her personal life. She opened up about her relationship with her younger boyfriend and that she might be ready to put a ring on it in the most unusual way.

In her show in Anaheim, the actress came on stage rocking her recently dyed orange hair with Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's "WAP" playing in the background. Cummings talked about her three-month-old relationship with her boyfriend, Alex, who was eight years her junior.

According to The Sun, the actress joked, "Here's something I want to announce to you guys I've never said before like no one knows. I'm dating someone, and I want to be the one to propose to him. Look, I'm 39. I don't have time for him to plan a f***ing scavenger hunt proposal."

The comedienne then asked to buy her engagement ring because her boyfriend allegedly couldn't "afford the one she wants." She added, "Yeah, he's great, it's going great. I can see myself having kids with him, but I don't want to do it until we do a 23 + Me test. Need to see those results first."

One of her more popular jokes on the show was when Cummings spoke about the differences between how she grew up and now. One of the comparisons she made was, "Kids these days have it so easy. I mean, playgrounds now even have shade! Can you believe it? When I was a kid, we had a sheet of metal that baked in the hot sun all day, and we would slide down it getting our a**es burnt, but we didn't complain!"

The actress also noted that while she was currently with a younger guy, her tastes usually ran towards older men in the past, and she had her eyes on an older man in the audience. Cummings made good on her comment on the show by straddling an elderly man in the crowd.

The man flashed a huge smile after Cummings lifted her shirt up and even went a step further by cupping the actress's breasts and giving a thumbs up to his friend who got the whole thing on camera.

Besides her recent relationship, Cummings has been involved in several other public romantic relationships. Her most recent breakup was her engagement with Miles Skinner in February 2020. The couple was engaged for a year and five months before calling it quits.

Via her podcast, "Good For You," Cummings explained that the engagement got called off because she realized that she wasn't prepared yet. The actress said she was overwhelmed by the process of planning a wedding and her mother's stroke made it more difficult.

"My mom is in bad shape health-wise... the idea of planning was just really overwhelming and kind of sad to me. I feel like planning a wedding should be fun and not a complete bummer." A while after the engagement was called off, the coupled revealed that they had separated for good.

Cummings was a famous panelist for the comedy series "Chelsea Lately." While on the show, the actress started working on independent projects, and soon enough, she released her TV show, "Whitney." The show was lightly based on her life and was on air for two seasons before it was canceled in 2013.

Before "Whitney," the comedienne co-created the popular 2011 sitcom "2 Broke Girls," which garnered much attention and critical acclaim. She also wrote and produced the reboot of "Roseanne," which got canceled.

Cummings released her first stand-up special, "Money Shot," in 2010, and since then, the actress has managed to stay popular. She's known for her distinctive brand of raunchy comedy and has been on several tours around the US in between her other released stand-up specials.
